      Thank you @Richard360

No idea how old my one is. I moved here not yet two years ago and the garden was horribly over grown and a total mess. I cut down everything and dug up as much as I could. Then, last Spring, I "discovered" it and was rewarded with one flower; it came back this year and I have two flowers (not sure if that is a blessing or not :heehee: ).
My plant was ID'd on here as: dracunculus vulgaris

@Richard360 Sauromatum is a different plant to the Dracunculus that "M" is growing.

Dracunculus grows leaves up to 3ft or so before flowering now, Sauromatum flowers first before producing the distinctive leaf, and never gets above about 2ft in my experience.

Hi Longk, I can't recall if it flowered last year, but it certainly flowered in 2014, and has always lived in a cold and drafty greenhouse. It's looking much happier in the soil but I can't see any buds yet. yes, probably autumn is a bad time for the solanum, but by next spring it may be at the roof

It's a late winter/spring bloomer on last years growth.
Have you tried Canarina canariensis? Dormant in the summer it emerges September'ish and blooms late autumn, winter and spring if kept cool but frost free..............

Give it a chop now. That'll give it time to recover before the frosts.

Just checked my photos from 2014 and my cantua flowered in June so that's a bit odd... The canarina looks rather nice - but I am running out of frostfree space :frown: Kew website says it produces edible fruits - have you tried them? I have also noticed anisacanthus is flowering in cold greenhouse - a good red but not as dramatic as mitraria which is practically glowing.

When did you get it? Also, when did you plant it out?

I suffer from a lack of pollinators over the winter sadly. It's dead easy from seed if you want to try it.

Richard and M - I really love your Dracunculus. I am going to have to try that one day.
And Pete that Protea is amazing.

Begonia Rex. The flower is nothing, but I love the leaf colour, which of course stays for a very long time.

Iochroma australis. I thought I had lost this. I needed the space so I put it outside before the last frosts. It lost all its leaves, but has come back.

Tillandsia juncea has an interesting flower. That's it - it doesn't open out.
