Not so sure that the UK population *need* a UKIP since the referendum Nobody likes Farage *that* much and, surely their role has now played out?
Ukip will never get enough votes to join a coalition, not with the way elections are run in the UK. The last General Election proved that when SNP got more MPs than Ukip, but less votes.
racism ˈreɪsɪz(ə)m/ nounthe belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. "theories of racism"prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. "a programme to combat racism" synonyms: racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice/bigotry, xenophobia, chauvinism, bigotry, bias, intolerance; xenophobia zɛnəˈfəʊbɪə/ noundislike of or prejudice against people from other countries. "racism and xenophobia are steadily growing in Europe" synonyms: racism, racialism, racial hatred, ethnocentrism, ethnocentricity; I'm having trouble telling the difference, Pete. The first definition is, verbally, more direct. While the second is something a Politician would use while meaning the same thing.
Back when they first formed, I remember they made clear they had only one objective. To give the UK and referendum on EU membership. Their manifesto promise back then was that if elected, they would not meddle with any other policy or law, other than to initiate a referendum, then after the referendum they would call a general election and then disband the party. Doesn't look like they remember that promise.
Well, I think the so called "racism" thing kind of held up when, to those that took the high ground, we were talking about people of another colour. But to say "racism" when you're talking about someone from Poland is just stretching it slightly IMO.
Bear in mind we still aint OUT. And someone needs to keep an eye on those shifty bunch that will be doing the bargaining in the years to come. Otherwise we could be OUT but still actually IN, once they make the concessions.
A quote...........or two...... Political promises are much like marriage vows. They are made at the beginning of the relationship between candidate and voter, but are quickly forgotten. Well, that might have been true in the old days, pete, but the Fascists of WWII didn't see it that way and colour was only part of their interpretation of racism and they tried to exterminate Polish, Hungarians, Bulgarians and "Uncle Tom Cobley and all". I think, perhaps, that a Racist's interpretation of "Racist" differs from yours, my friend.
Yeah well you keep twisting it. I think you missed your vocation, should have been a politician Racism applies to different races, not to someone of the same race that lives in a different country. And what has WW2 got to do with what is going on today, we need to look forward, not back.
Once again, it looks like I've been an idiot. I believed actual democracy had happened. It's looking increasingly like it was just a massive joke. It was in the news earlier that Sturgeon was having her legal bods looking to see if they can veto the result. But she might not have to. It's transpired that David Cameron’s latest insult to the people is to refuse to enact the Brexit. It is being suggested that his successor might not dare to do it, and until article 50 is enacted, the result means nothing. http://gu.com/p/4myk5/sfb
Exactly because the referendum was nothing more than a glorified opinion poll. There was no provision in the Act to make the results legally binding. I wondering which Tory will actually want to invoke the act bearing in mind Nicola Sturgeon is doing her very best to get an independence referendum.
It now turns out that the petition has thousands of signatures from overseas and there are people openly tweeting the link and asking all and sundry to sign. Some of the signatures are from Germany, France, US and Syria.
............Gawwwd, pete, I feel insulted and in need of a shower now!!! The Guy who taught me to be a Manager always went by the rule of "Never, ever, lie to your staff, other Managers, or Bosses" and I am eternally grateful to him for that as I never have lied to anyone. It led in the early years to me being suspended, threatened with sacking, me resigning on at least 2 occasions, but always having the respect of staff and being asked by other organisations to join them. My Mentor also said "if you lie to anyone, and you're find out, then you're useless as a Manager....so don't lie" Naaah, just interpreting "it" in a different way
