Hello all. I have been making a few planters lately for friends and been using decking however it's very expensive.

Does anyone else know any types of wood I can use? Would cladding be any good? It's really cheap on wicks but never used it.

Pallets are too few and far between for me so can't use them. Any Advice would be great thanks

    Hi tnpmonkey,

I've used wooden gravel boards before.

I was in B&Q the other day looking for something and I noticed they had 1800mm deck boards for £2.00 each

Why not put a post on Freecycle for any unwanted wood? Or pallets.
