    Hi guys,
me again, this time Im enquiring as to what would stunt the growth of my french green beans.
I have them in a grow bag, only three beans to avoid overcrowding, water every couple of days.
the leaves looked great, they leapt into growth....then stopped at about 12 inches high. same as last year :(
Unlike last year when the crop was a good two handfuls this year I got two whole beans :(
possible causes I can correct please?

A photo might help with the diagnosis.

They are probably dwarf french beans. They only grow about 12".

Photos as requested. The leaves have been eaten in the past couple of days. probably slugs as I found several of the buggars dead in the grow bag :/

Yes it is slugs/snails - they will have eaten the growing points as well as those holes in the leafs so they won't grow any taller.

There is still still for a second sowing.

That's good to know - time for a second sowing. I'm getting my soil today for the new garden and would love to plant some more! Also I've got company coming next week so lots of eggs will be consumed for breakfast so I will have lots of shells to spread there too.
            Thank you again @JWK.

I also sowed some more last weekend to help prolong the harvest later in the season.

They may still grow some more growing tips. :fingers crossed:

When putting slug pellets I think it's better to not put them in the bag but put them outside the bag and around the immediate area. You want to attract them away from the bag. :blue thumb:

Of course, that won't be too much help if they're already in the bag but it may stop more getting in. So do both, now.
