I like those two, I've got both new this year. Can't wait to see Nachtvlinder. Cerro potosi looks very much like one I already have, "Neon ". I'll put a photo up on Tuesday as it should be out by then

 

Thanks Anthony. I like Raspberry Royale too but mine died in winter. I'd like to get another this summer for a second attempt.

Second of my Hayloft Salvias to flower, after Dyson's Joy: Royal Bumble.

" Royal Bumble " is gorgeous, that was one of mine that went to Salvia Heaven :(

 

My neighbour also had a delve in last yr's GC seed swap and now has a widely admired Salvia turkestanica flowering in her garden. Thank you Seed Donor!

 

Quick Salvia leaf based Q - three or four of mine have blueish tinges to some of the leaves - it does come off when I touch... any ideas what this is? Pics below!

 

Mine has just come into bloom.................


For my money it has one of the best reds of any Salvia. It is however being mugged by the Nachtvlinder that I planted next to it earlier this year. You have been warned - Nachtvlinder is a rampant thug!

A couple more.
Salvia "Black and Bloom" which I acquired earlier in the year. It is supposed to be an improvement on "Black and Blue" but I'm not so sure..............


"Love and Wishes" is an absolute star though.................

I'm not sure that this is Peter Vidgeon. It looks more like one of its parents (Trebah). @nibor will be better placed to judge as Peter Vidgeon is his "creation".
