I have seen a few Bullfinches out and about recently but only once has one come in our garden and that was four years ago.

Had this little juvenile Blackbird tweeting outside the back door this morning so went out to investigate and rushed to get my tablet to get some photos and here is one of the best...

As some of you know, I go to the Church, where my Wife rests, every day and now I appear to have acquired a feathered friend while there. :snork: A Cock Pheasant has decided to use the Churchyard as his territory and appears to be completely unafraid as he wanders around. He will approach within inches of me without any problem and I didn't realise that Pheasants "chortle" to themselves all the time......well, at least he does. I'll have to take my camera and a bag of seeds for him:heehee:

At last the Goldfinches have brought young to the feeders, only two so far.

excitement today when I discovered a swarm of bees having a pitstop in the lavender:

Called the local bee man who turned up a couple of hours later & collected them - fascinating to watch them all marching into the box once the queen was in there. Feeling slightly sorry for the 20 or so who got left behind & so presumably will drop dead overnight. Bee man has promised a jar of honey if the swarm settles with him..

I feed the garden birds, Jiffy, with Sultanas on the old bird table, and put general seeds in the Bird feeders so that should please him. I took a bag today but there was no sign of him today, no doubt he will turn up again.:snorky:
