Mine have filled up the temp greenhouse:

    Today:

Will have to take the greenhouse down next week to give them a bit more space and thin them down to two plants.

Looking good John, it's heart breaking culling the plants when you have tried so much to make them grow.

I took the temp covers off mine yesterday, I'll get some photo's to add later today.

      Steve...:)

I took the temp tunnels down yesterday as the plants are sprinting away now, the first one below is at 10.5ft, the second a foot shorter so both are maintaining growth around 6 inches a day. Secondary vines are now starting to stretch out and will soon need staking down and training.

The 1872 Willemijns (Not pictured) that I am growing under cover in a polytunnel has now started to get going growing around 4 inches in the last 24 hours, I'm watching this one with interest to see what happens.

The Pumpkin I planted in June sat and sulked for 2 weeks before starting to grow again in my heavy clay waterlogged soil. My second sown Pumpkin also decided to sulk in its pot for a similar period and is only now of a size that I'm considering planting out but only for spare male flowers.

Looking really good John, is that one or two plants? Either way they seem to be getting on with it.

                Photo's from yesterday.

The vines direction has been changed now as it was heading for the edge of the bed and idealy it is here I would prefer a fruit to grow to make removal easier later. Secondary vines are now growing out well to fill the plants out and are being pegged now 90 degrees to the main vine.

In the polytunnel the 1872 has now started to grow quite well at around 6 inches a day and it is around 8ft, it is just starting to vine so is stretching out now.

It's still 4 plants I just couldn't bring myself to thin them out - I'll wait and see for a week or so.

                  Yours are looking very good.

I've got fruit, in fact too many for a change, just about every female flower has a fruit swelling on it. Have thinned them out:

Nice one John, your off and running now. Try not to have leaf stems touching the fruit if you can, they will severely mark your fruit and could cause splits later (you've probably already removed it anyway lol )

I pollinated one on the tunnel plant on Sunday, the process was a bit rough and ready but there is another female flower coming on that one, so I will be better prepared when that one is ready.

My tunnel plant is now growing like crazy, I'll get some photo's tomorrow.

My 2 outside plants are growing on strongly and sideshoots spreading out too, I'm expecting (hoping for) female flowers any day now towards the end of the main vine on both. Main vine on both are now approx 17-18ft long.

In the tunnel, my third plants growth is breaking all my previous records, it's growing on at 12 inches a day at present and will soon fill the space at that rate of growth. I have polinated one female flower so far but it was a little rough and ready, I have another female flower already showing and hope for a better polination on that one and any subsequent flowers.

The main vine on this one is around 15ft now but will soon increase. Phenomenal growth !

                          Nice looking plants Steve.

They look a bit dry inside the polytunnel, the bigger leaves are wilted?
