    We all have different opinions on slug pellets and I respect them all, like I said, I use them sparingly on the patio.. Mentioned elsewhere I try to keep pesticides to a minimun as I have 3 cats and a field behind.. luckily hedgehogs and birds don't come on my patio or even my lawn ..:fingers crossed:

      Very nice specimens you have there.

      Yes, wait until after they have finished fruiting then divide them up as you see fit. Just take care not to damage the crowns and pretty soon they will colonise the entire vacant growing space.

        Thank you @misterQ, I have a nice handful in front of me but camera has broke! Cannot wait for more strawbs next year now, these are bloody delish!

        Im glad i saw your photo of the strawberry planter as it reminded me of some new planters i`d stashed in the loft. And to think ive been struggling to find anywhere to grow last years 100 odd runners. :)

          This is me visualising your handful of strawberries, except, they're on a plate. From this I can deduce that you have very big hands.

          The strawberries can not yet be compared to a summer's day but they were delicious, nonetheless.
