Well I think its pretty official that June has been one of the worst on record, I can only assume, unless Britain has a rain shadow desert that I've not heard about:biggrin:, that some peoples ideas of summer are a bit different to mine.
I do know the NW has had drier conditions than normal, and it has been wetter than normal down here though, mainly due to thunder.

Its not rubbish here its just not wonderful.;)

Cloudy and warm all day with temperatures in the middle 60f's but it has remained dry. Last night the skies cleared at around 11pm and I thought I might get some Star Gazing in, but by 11.30 the cloud rolled in from the West and that was that:dunno::wallbanging::gaah:
Right now the temperature is 53f and the pressure reading is 1024mbs.:coffee::snork:

Yesterday was hot and sticky and the perfect day for doing the pressure hosing. The bees and wasps (not so many wasps as normal) love the pressure hosing as they like the very fine spray.

The sun is working hard at coming out of the haze this morning. I have orders to move the sprinkler around the new beds as we've hardly had any rain for the last month (just one day of proper rain).

            See Pete,

Shineys in the same situation as us.
Not everywhere has had one of the worst Junes on record. It's very much been an area by area situation this year. They showed a map on the national forecast the other day just using different colours for the amount of rainfall from white ( basically a pigeons wee'd if you were lucky ) to dark blue/green and the difference in the areas was amazing. We were white and yet about 10 miles away in South Staffs they've had like you, probably, one of their wettest ever Junes, I remember the flooding they had just over a month ago, we didn't get a single drop.

Sorry Pete, I think you'll have to move :)

Wall to wall sunshine today with a fresh breeze blowing which has made it feel quite a bit cooler than 18C/64F.

Cloudy all day and just had a quick shower but it looks like the sun is trying to come out now.

Well, I mentioned above about lots of bees but not many wasps. Famous last words!!! We were shifting one of our compost heaps and there's a wasp nest in it! :rolleyespink:

Yesterday was hot, humid and sunny. We've had about 10 minutes of drizzle this morning so the sprinkler is still going. :noidea:

Another cool and windy start, same as yesterday with a 'high' of 18c.
I can't remember a summer so cloudy as this one and such cold nights, 10c in July!

@shiney homeland has a weather system all of its own and what makes it worse is his character is like mine, positive, cup half full and not half empty, and every day is a bonus people just remember that when @shiney says he's covered in wall to wall sunshine :lunapic 130165696578242 5:,:heehee:

Its just across the Thames from me and we have had the wettest June since 1997,
More than 90mm of rain fell across Kent between the start of the month and Monday - double what forecasters predict for this time of year.

Essex/Hertfordshire are expected to have the wettest June since records began.

I'll know about whether ours was the wettest, or not, when I get our next village magazine. It gives the rainfall graph for the month and how it compares to previous years - and the average. The magazine has been keeping the records for a 150 years. :blue thumb:

I had the sprinkler on for the last three days because the garden is suffering.

                        But I'm OK!!! :yahoo:

Another very warm and muggy day. 6.15 p.m. and 75F. Fortunately there's a strong breeze that is making it feel cooler when outside.

I'm inside as we have over thirty ladies out in the garden!!
