.....because of the rubbish weather we've had (here in the Midlands at least) I've done very little camera work so far this year. My hope is that I can soon get something suitable for our July competition.....fingers crossed!
Just bide your time David and something will turn up. You don't have to enter your pictures all at the same time, so if you come up with a good shot you can enter that straight away and follow with the others later in the month.
I don't know about 'Lazy Hazy Days', it doesn't feel like summer here. Even the sky has got that glassy look of autumn about it.
Just to upset you a bit more - here in Shineyland we have had a reasonable summer so far. Virtually no rain (have to have the sprinkler running a few hours a day ), a fair amount of sunshine and a lot of hot, muggy, humid cloudy times (very uncomfortable for working in the garden ). It hasn't been good from a photographic point of view. The sun is too bright and when it's not sunny it's too overcast to get the correct colours from the plants.
Least you'm got a working camera I've missed shots of a live seal and a dead dolphin this week When the dolphin washed up I suddenly realised I've got no idea how to check for a dolphin's pulse
Just to upset you a little bit more , you don't even have to move that far away, just go a bit further south and you'll get to deepest, darkest Worcestershire Only rained twice in the last seven or eight weeks or so PS.... Just a little tip, stay away from the Severn Valley. I can see the whole of it from the Cheltenham area right up to the Shropshire hills from my windows and I can watch the rain and storms move up the country.
Just rubbing it in a bit more It's here in Shineyland. It topped 82F today and is just dropping down this evening and was 80F at 7.15 p.m. Now...
I've posted an entry in the July Photographic Competition (blackbird fledglings) which I had posted a couple of days earlier on Wildlife Corner. I'm sure this doesn't contravene any rules, but ideally I think it would have been preferable for competition entries not to have been seen before.....sorry about that.
