    Good morning,

It's chilly here today, when I went out early this morning I wore my light jacket....it was really that cold :hate-shocked:, I'm sure the summer will turn up soon :hapydancsmil:

Kev is off to Wales today, it's going to leave me with a very heavy work schedule, but I'm sure I will cope! :phew:

We had another very heavy rain shower last night, the garden is looking very lush :dbgrtmb:.

I've been trying to sort out my back boarder when I've had a few minutes spare, I'm still not 100% happy with it but it's starting to look better, obviously I've not got enough plants!!! :heehee:

Buttercup is still broody! :doh:I've given up the fight now, she will get over it eventually I guess :noidea:, she's so bad tempered :nonofinger: I'd rather she stayed in the coop!

I'm thrilled to bits with my niece, her school report was exceptional :yahoo:, she's a clever little girl & has so much enthusiasm to learn, long may this attitude last :fingers crossed:

Best I get cracking :hapfeet:, enjoy your day everyone, :stirpot: get well spells to those who need them :grphg:

      Good evening everyone,
My company just left and now I'm into washing all the linens and restoring everything to it's place. We had a nice visit so it's worth all the effort.

It is 98.7f here right now. Sunny Sunny Sunny. Would someone kindly send some of you rain over here to cool things down. Pretty please? :)

Be safe and enjoy your moderate temperatures!

                          Good morning WW'ers

Crikey, hadn't realised it has been so long since I posted in here

@moyra - so glad you finally made it to the op and have come out the other side :grphg:

@shiney - sorry to read about your chest, hoping it is improving now? :grphg:

@Zigs - oh goodie, a week off to enjoy the weather (see? Every cloud has a silver lining :blue thumb: )

@Beckie76 - Broody Buttercup, eh? My bantam is back on the nest too - you've got to feel for them, they are just so determined to be mothers :chicken:

Well, Sunday at Hampton Court was absolutely wonderful! Mr "M" nearly keeled over when he learned that I didn't buy one single plant :heehee: I was tempted, but I went with a purpose in mind and as they didn't have what was on my list (all of one type of plant, I wasn't greedy!) I resisted the urge to splurge on just anything. Really enjoyed looking at the "gardens" but especially the Dogs Trust garden; if the pictures of it looked good, they simply didn't do justice to the actual garden; one of the ladies kindly gave me a list of dog friendly plants to consider for my own garden.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to have a go at "New Age Kurling" - what a hoot!!!! I scored the first point for our team ( ) but, as it wasn't a real contest and just a giggle, I accidently-on-purpose "fluffed" my final try so that it earned our opponents a point, thus, a draw :heehee: Not something I plan on doing as a hobby, but, it was great entertainment :blue thumb:

I'm back to taking long, early morning walks again now the weather is heating up; by the time it gets to 10am it is simply too hot for Ozzy. I have a new pedometer gadget and it is set so the daily target steps is 10,000 but it was my intention to reset it to 5000 to begin with. That was the intention but I haven't quite worked out how to do that. Anyway, up with the lark and out and about early with Oz, the morning bright, with light cloud and a gentle breeze. First to the rec., then on to the woods but instead of then retracing our steps back home, decided to keep going ... eventually ending up at another, smaller wooded area. I had just reached our gate at the end of the gully when the gadget started vibrating on my wrist ... :hate-shocked:

... it was an alert to tell me I had completed 10,000 steps and the equivalent of climbing 19 flights of stairs  All before 8am!! :thud: It was the same walk we had taken yesterday too, so I was really pleased. Just need to keep up my motivation now.

#1 son is due home on Sunday as he has an interview on Monday :fingers crossed: He'll then return to Lincoln for another couple of weeks to pack up all his stuff and clean the house before returning home for a while. Going to feel strange having both the lads home together for any length of time again.

Anyway, that's enough waffling on ... I've got plenty of jobs to be getting on with and I still haven't uploaded the photos from my camera to the computer from Sunday's little jaunt yet

Miles of smiles for all and healing vibes for those under par xxMxx

                            Good afternoon everyone,
I will be doing some potting and puttering later this morning. I'm being naughty right now and catching up on several episodes of Corrie Street that I missed these pass few weeks.

Then I'm to spend the afternoon at my friend's waiting for appliances to be delivered. Boring....

And today's high temperature prediction is only 80f. Absolutely lovely!

                            Have a safe day please!

                              Good evening Folks,

I'm totally shattered :snooze:, I'm going to have to admit that whilst Kev has been away I've over done it! He's back tonight though :hapydancsmil:I'm currently having a well deserved glass of wine :ccheers: anyone care to join me?

Would you believe Veronica is now also broody , honestly who apart from me would have two very grumpy hens? I've told them that we don't do babies here & it's not going to happen! :nonofinger:, the hens can hear a cockerel in the next village which isn't helping the matter! When he cries they make a pathetic purring noise...they are just little sluts! :heehee:

I'm very saddened by the terrible incident in Nice, what a dreadful shame,, but we must move on & united we must stand! Some of the bravery & kindness from ordinary people on the streets has given me faith in human nature once again :blue thumb:....sorry that's a bit heavy!

@moyra, I do hope you are feeling better :grphg:

@shiney I hope you are feeling better too? :grphg:

@CanadianLori I'm pleased to hear you had fun with your guests
                              :dbgrtmb:

Best I get on & make Kev something to eat, enjoy your evening :grphg:
