        Aloha everyone,

It looks as though it's going to be another lovely day and it will get pretty warm. so I want to finish the mowing before it heats up too much. I just have to work out what is the earliest time I can start mowing without upsetting the neighbours.

Keep well, stay cool and have a lovely day

        Aloha!

Good morning everyone, Shiney the gentle purr of the mower should send them all back to sleep again! M lovely to see you and well done on the 10,000 steps. My knee would not let me do that in any way.

            Good morning,

It's quite overcast here today, hopefully it will brighten up soon .

I think Kev had a nice time away, they obviously worked hard but they had a lot of giggles along the way, just as it should be :dbgrtmb:. Now he's back he's under pressure, he will just have to get cracking, I will help him tomorrow but I do need to do some gardening so I won't be going in all day :nonofinger:.

I'd better go & get my shower & get on. Enjoy your day everyone :grphg:

              Morning early people :)

Cloudy start but the barometer has gone way up so should be a good one

Did most of the watering last night but its so dry I might give the plot another soak.

Have a good day everyone and don't cast a clout till Theresa May is out :spinning:

                    Good afternoon WW'ers :spinning:

Very humid, but overcast at the moment, which is just as well because I'm the numpty turnip cooking a roast dinner while it is roasting weather outside! :thud: Think fatted calf and prodigal son :heehee:

Thank you, moyra :) I managed 12000+ by the end of that day and 14000 yesterday :phew: today though, I'm barely getting beyond "sedentary" :heehee: (well, it is Sunday and a day of rest - allegedly - :heehee: )

Mr "M" has decided he would quite like a similar gadget and when we popped in to Tesco's yesterday I thought I would ask if they had a Fitbit or similar; the salesman said he had a Garmin and began extolling its virtues but while doing so couldn't help himself from slating "Fitbit" in every sentence [IMG] Now, for those who haven't a clue what I'm talking about, they are gadgets you wear like a watch (and yes, they do also have a clock function), but, they also monitor - roughly - how many steps you take; how many flights of stairs/equivalent you do in a day; approx. how many calories you've burned and some do other things for the more sport/fitness orientated folk. Anyway, my reason for having one is merely as a guide for personal interest, especially now the birthdays come sooner and faster each year; that is also why Mr "M" would like one too. So, back to Mr Salesman who is still slamming Fitbit and still singing the praises of his Garmin. In the end, I couldn't resist rolling back my sleeve and asking: "Do you mean *this* Fitbit?" :heehee: He tried back tracking a little and now stating how the Garmin is far more accurate and when you are in the gym doing work outs .. :roflol: ... at which point I thought it only fair to stop him:
"Do we *look* like we spend time at a gym doing workouts? [IMG] (<--- Mr "M" )
Are these the figures of athletes? [IMG] " (<--- Mr "M" in disguise)
He lost the sale ;) Sometimes, I do wish salespeople would put their brain into gear before opening their mouths

Lots of good things happening in the garden though, the Bridgewater Beans (courtesy of our Zigs) have finally taken off and are racing up the garden arch. Only two of the beans actually survived my gardening style but that's fine. This years harvest will be purely to increase seeds for next year.

As is my usual good fortune with plants I buy, especially at plant sales, the dahlias are now flowering - these are the dahlias I bought specifically because they would look lovely in the pink border. They are a delightful peach! :snorky: Ah well, at least they both begin with P :dunno:

Keep cool, enjoy the long awaited summer weather and don't forget to keep hydrated! Miles of smiles xxMxx
