It was always inevitable. The zombie apocalypse has begun. I saw a kid outside our house, staring at his mobile as he wandered slowly, straight into the road without looking up from his phone, almost walked into my parked car, before ambling off slowly down the road.

It was actually quite a chilling sight. I actually felt the adrenaline surge as gut instinct told me something is fundamentally wrong. I reckon it's this new Pokemon thing. It's some sort of virus that straddles multiple realities, leaking the cyber into the real and eating people's brains.

I heard on the news that elsewhere in the country and group of infected souls had to be rescued by emergency services after wandering into a cave while staring at their mobile phones.

It's some zombifying app called Pokemon Go that is taking over people's brains.

Driving to tesco earlier in saw several groups of kids all staring at phones and wandering aimlessly. One group appeared to be stuck in some bushes at the petrol station.

I think it's great, loads of teenagers suddenly discover there is a real world outside their bedrooms.

That's what I thought when I heard about it. But having seen it first hand, it's more like the kids are tourists visiting Outside. Like most tourists on holiday in Spain, who go on the tours led by their English holiday reps to see the 'real spain',I think the youths visiting Outside are not really engaging with Outside and when they tell their friends about their experience, they will describe it in the context of a 3 inch rectangle they see it through.

I think that any person found doing stupid things through inattention from using their smart phone should have their thumbs strapped to their index fingers for seven days. :old:
