How can I attach a swing here?

    Hi All,

    Since we moved the kids have been pestering me to put the swing up. The problem is it will take up loads of the garden, so I thought about hanging it off this branch on the apple tree.

    I will needvto put some chain from the tree so I have some adjustment for the seat, but how do I attach the chain to the tree without either damaging or killing the tree?

    Any ideas please ?

    May be you could attach the chain to some strong harness as below. One question though, do you think the bough of the tree is strong enough to take the weight?
