Hi @Adendoll my friend the ruse I always use when I can't get through .choose the option that say you want to upgrade your package(More money) they always answer that one:whistle: ,oh I don't know if this is the right number or not :dunno: explain your situation to them then they should put you through to the appropriate number;)

It all ways works for me,good luck my friend:smile:

Agree with Zigs if you can advertise the problem to lots of people. I went onto the Aldi Facebook page regarding bad service and oh surprise they contacted me within a couple of hours:)

My god just seen yet more idiots getting stuck on this walk. I have known it all my life and done it many times long before the council renovated it with "posh" chains, it was quite a task then. You need to be quite fit and certainly NOT 8 years old as was 1 of the children rescued. You also need to time it right for the tides. My grandfather was involved with setting the walk up in the 1st place. I'll have a wee bet that before I depart this earth the walk will be banned for health and safety reasons which will be such a shame as it's a great walk and exciting to "beat" the tide but it's not a computer game it's real and if you fall over you could easily get hurt or worse. Hope the stupid woman is made to pay something towards their rescue.

Companies that just do not want your business. We have Three mobile phones on contracts, and two out of the Three are due for upgrade (contract expired in June); started a web chat with someone to try and get the new contracts sorted -- we originally bought the phones and contracts online via the webchat and it was dead easy.

We found the phones we wanted, but they no longer do our current tariff, so we can't upgrade - we had to change tariff. So, £49 up front for each phone, and £41 a month (2Gb data, Unlimited everything else). Website says £50 Amazon voucher on all new contracts.

Except, no - not if you are buying online or on the phone. I pointed out that not doing the vouchers made their deal look expensive given that a competitor was advertising £0 up front cost, and £42 a month for 3Gb data, Unlimited everything else.

So, a counter offer was made - same contract, but £44 a month and £0 up front cost. So 3 x 24 = £72, making the counter offer £23 more expensive than their first!

Needless to say, we have not signed up for anything, and will be shopping about. We got a phone call a bit later from the call Indian call centre to tell us that we would get the voucher if we went into one of their stores. So, maximum inconvenience possible to renew our commitment as their customers for another two years........ Hmmmm......

I would simply go somewhere else, but the truth is that there is not one single operator that is any better.

Is that £41 per month per phone? :yikes:

I'm pretty sure it can't be :noidea:. Even one lot of £41 seems expensive to me.

Think I'm paying £11.50 a month for mine, but its probably not state of the art.
I mean, getting a vodafone signal is like searching for gold, I dont get one at home or at work so basically the bloody thing is useless.

Looking on the bright side, the camera works.:frown:

Oh yes, £41 a month per phone - admittedly, they are on data tethering packages for use as wifi hotspots for work etc, but the prices are getting ridiculous at the moment; when we first had data packages, it was about £29 a month, but prices have rocketed recently.

If I needed my phone for work, I'd make sure my employer provided the phone?

Or is that not what you are saying FC?

I'd never pay £41 a month for a phone, I'd tell them where to shove it.

had a great deal from o2 last year samsung tab 3 with sim port and a s3 mini for 17.99 a month, 300mb data and 300 calls/texts as i don't use them but it was worth it for the gadgets, won't do me the same deal again though.. 50 ish quid to upgrade early and wanted 40 odd quid for something brand spanking new with no tablet, unlimited everything which just doesn't interest me.. I think they want everyone to have new and unlimited everything.

I'm prepared to downgrade at anytime they like.
It just doesn't work most of the time, calls usually end up losing signal and cutting off.
Which is worse than having no signal at all.

Why does it have to be on contract ? ? ?

                          I've got Pay & Go on 02. For £20 a month I get 5000 minutes, 5000 texts and 5 thingys of data.

How long you got left on your contract @pete? Worth giving them a ring and explaining you got poor signal/service or have you done that? Mind you, we get poor vodafone signal round by us :dunno:

@Anthony Rogers sometimes I think its more convenience of having the gadget delivered within 2 days, not going to a shop faffing about, not paying anything up front for it (some handsets are $600.. :thud:) and "hassle" of needing to top it up all the time. That's just my take on it though.

But saying that I think payg has come a long way since contracts, the addded "boosts" you can have are probably worth it compared to a contract phone.

oh not only that "in app" purchases or other things you can purchase with your phone, even text donations, some are billed to the phone contract wouldn't be possible if you only had 49p on your phone and no means of topping up near by or immediately?? just another one of my thoughts..
