    Good day everyone
Had a good excursion yesterday. Did some shopping and eating and nosing around We were too late to visit the winery and bakery and cheese factory on the way back so will make that a separate day trip. Coming back, the border security only wanted to know who spent the most and after admitting it was I, they just waved us through. :)

@"M" the sherbet on a stick worked out excellently. Good sweet/sour taste and since my friend is hemiplegic (paralysed down the left side) the business of being on a stick makes it easy for him to enjoy. :) His family live in Manitoba and only come round about once a year so me and my family are all he's got for company in this province.

Be safe all and I hope Mrs. S. starts getting well quickly and @Zigs your healing stays on schedule. :)

        Aloha everyone,

It certainly warmed up yesterday and hit 80F. :) Today is promising to be very nice but not quite as warm.

We had wasp trouble yesterday as they were flying in and out of a tiny gap in the eaves of the front porch. Not too pleasant when wishing to go into the house! Michael was here, the first time in a month, and I gave him the job of squirting wasp powder onto the hole as he can run faster than me :heehee: For the next couple of hours the porch was a no go area with hundreds of rather annoyed wasps flying around. Things eased up after four hours so he gave it another squirt of powder. By late last night there was no action out there but there were some very poorly wasps crawling around on the carpet in our hall :rolleyespink: I threw them out but am puzzled as to how they got in . We normally walk around in bare feet but that's not going to happen for a day or so.

Michael came in to do some of the heavy digging. Some shrubs and perennials needed transplanting, thinning out and potting up. Even in the new bed that we made last year some of the plants are getting pretty overcrowded. They've grown like mad with all the compost and horse manure that we put in. Even a lovely Aruncus sylvestris had to come out and has been potted into a bucket until we can find somewhere else to put it (we split it from one of our bigger plants last year).

He also had to cut up the half of the 70+ year old plum tree that had come down whilst we were away. We always let him take away the logs, from any trees that have to be cut, and sell them.

No improvement yet from Mrs Shiney

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

                Good day everyone
@shiney I am so sorry to hear Mrs. S. has not started feeling better. I'll try to send some of my good health to her via data portal :)

It looks like it's going to be a bright and hot day today. My mini broccoli are starting to be ready to cut and the plants pulled. I will need to figure out what goes in that spot next...

Have a safe day all :)

Thanks from Mrs Shiney for all your good wishes. As she wanted to go to the RHS Flower Show at Hyde Hall but didn't feel up to the coach trip I took her there myself. We had to meet up with the group as we were all on the club's RHS group membership. She enjoyed it but we left early and she's now having a rest in bed.

We got away with only five purchases  :hapydancsmil:

                            Good morning all :)

                            @shiney - [IMG] 10, already? Gosh! And you don't look a day over ... :whistle: ... :heehee:
Sorry to hear Mrs Shy Knee is still under par, give her a gentle speedy recovery hug from me :cmonhug:

Had my first meeting with the Book Club last night and I managed to get away with not being sent to the corner when I admitted I simply couldn't get into the book they had chosen. I never made it beyond the first couple of chapters  They all thoroughly enjoyed it  :heehee: I'll try harder when we get the next one

Looking like it will be a belter of a day here weather wise; I'm harnessing the washing up water for the border which wasn't bark chipped because those plants are struggling with the heat. Mr "M" will pick up some bark chips this weekend and I'll give that border a thorough soaking before laying them down.

Healing vibes for all in need of them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

                              Good day everyone
It is going to be a hot humid day here. It was warm yesterday too. So warm that the attic fan operated all night long - it's not often that happens :rolleyespink:

I'm going to water everything before going out on a sales call this morning and then pick up my grandson to go see my friend in the home. We shall have lunch with him and then I need to get whatever shopping needs doing, finished before my son comes to take the carrier tonight. My Mustang is back in the shop. I had to have it towed back there as smoke was billowing from under the hood. Looks like the new serpentine belt is self destructing. My thinking is that they replaced the belt without finding out why the old one was stressed and that it just might be the alternator has seized...

Oh well, the weekend is almost here and it it forecast to cool down a bit. Just in time for baking on low time of use electricity rates:)

Have a safe day all !
