                  Aloha everyone,

It's also overcast here but is already 70F :rolleyespink:. I've already done a couple of hours of gardening, at the end of the garden, cutting back brambles (8ft long), wild roses and some of the poplar sproutings that are growing like mad from the stump of the tree we had taken down earlier in the year. I've only got about halfway around the stump but already removed a couple of hundred sproutings. They're only about 3ft high but most of them are a half inch diameter and I've been using the loppers to cut them. Not very good for my back as it means bending over to do it .

I didn't light the bonfire last night (now over 7ft high and 6ft diameter) as the wind was too strong and blowing towards the houses. Nice neighbour has more prospective buyers viewing today. I hope to burn the heap tonight if the wind is in the right direction and they're not having more viewers tomorrow, as the fire will still be burning in the morning.

I may do a little gentle gardening later. Probably some trimming of edges as that doesn't affect my back as I do it with the long handled shears.

Mrs Shiney is still sleeping and I shall leave her to carry on as she was up in the night with her coughing.

We're hoping to take a friend out tonight for her birthday, 77th, but it will depend on how Mrs Shiney feels.

I'm going to set aside four hours today to work solidly on catching up on paperwork. Apart from trying to catch up I've got to prepare for two big meetings tomorrow. One will run from 10.30 until early afternoon (having lunch brought in) and the other is all evening until about 10 p.m. so we're holding it in a separate section at the Indian restaurant. People tend to be much happier about turning up for these meetings when it also means free food! :heehee:

Sun has just come out and it's pretty windy out there.

Keep well and have a great day. :blue thumb:

                  Aloha!

Morning all, had a lie in this morning.

We had the usual seagull chorus at about 4-30am, before it was even light, no idea why they do that. :dunno:

Looks like another warm one today, hope you all have a good day and enjoy your gardens. :)

We've been stuck indoors this afternoon as it's so hot outside. It reached 84F and the strong wind just made it feel like a fan assisted oven.
