      Hi Rustler,

      " Dollar Princess "

      Double

      Tube >>> small cerise
      Sepals >>> cerise, broad, reflexed
Corolla >>> purple with cerise patches at the base of the petals

      1912
      ...........................................

      " Winston Churchill"

      Double

      Tube >>> medium pink
Sepals >>> pink on top, darker pink underneath with green tips
Corolla >>> lavender blue with pink veins and pink splashes on the outer petals

      1942

      ............................................

I think it's safe to say both yours are " Dollar Princess ". It's a nice fully hardy bush/shrub and is one of the first hardies to flower outside.

Thank you Anthony. What should I do with them over winter? Do they need cutting back? I was going to leave them outside covered in a cloche. All advice welcomed. Thanks again.

          Hi Rustler,

" Dollar Princess " can be left outside permanently. If you can build the soil up around the base ( crown ) of the plants over the next couple of months.
Ideally hardy Fuchsias should be planted around 3 or 4" deep.
Don't prune them until the Spring as the stems help to protect the crowns during the Winter. You can just take any soft tips off when they lose their leaves.

The " Kromennie " is a half - hardy so will need to be taken in for the Winter.

Probably my favourite of this type as it's such an unusual peachy colour.

Hi All. Just a photo of my fuchsia which I planted a couple of years ago. Giving a good display this year. I got one about 1/2 its size in another pot which was a cutting last year. I know it sounds a bit obvious but I got 3 fuchsias in very large pots. As you can see the pot must be around 18" tall, the others are a bit smaller. All are growing huge as opposed to the smaller pots so I think large pots are on the menu for next season.
I also purchased 3 x White King fuchsia cuttings at beginning of season but as I was refitting bathroom forgot all about pinching them out. When I got around to finding them in among all the other plants growing they were about 14" tall of just one stem!! Too late to pinch them out as they would of been delayed until late August. I had no option to leave them and to be honest did not expect much. They are about 2 feet tall now with 2 stems and are covered in buds so not a total loss. The flowers are huge so must take cuttings later.
