        @Ariadae and @pamsdish - so pleased you are enjoying the Bridgwater Beans - we have just had a light lunch dish of them: Boil in a little water until 'al dente', drain and sautee for five minutes in olive oil / butter with a little garlic and chopped parsley. Pile onto warm plates and sprinkle with Parmesan and add a little grated nutmeg, enjoy with crusty bread - Mmmmm

          Does anyone have any more information on cooking/storing this variety of bean?
          I have some that are at the pod growing stage.

          How long should they get before I harvest?

                @Zigs

                I've a few plants that have done that. :scratch: A pink flower has grown out of the joint but the rest of each plant has grown as a normal runner bean plant with red flowers and loads of runner beans. :noidea:

                Do you have any idea why? :what:

                    They don`t grow long, I harvest before they get "thick" looking and dark, and I also eat straight away, a plate of beans, nice juicy lamb, thick gravy, mint sauce and loads of white pepper, :hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil:

                        @Zigs Apologies :love30: :love30: :love30:

                        We didn't buy any Bridgewater beans to grow and bought our usual batch of 560 Polestar beans from our usual commercial supplier.

                        I've been out picking just now and there are some beans growing amongst them that look just like @"M"'s picture above. :scratch:
