Where possible I do not disturb insects . Don't mind 'em having a chomp at my flowers - within reason . But my front drive and lawn seems to be under an ant attack . I found 10 ants nest in my lawn 3 weeks ago and another 5 today.
I have used Nippon spray which was not very effective . ANT-STOP spray which seems better , and also ANT_STOP bait traps . These may have worked on the front path where I tried them . Does anyone have other safe suggestions ?

    TIA

I have lots of ant nests in the lawn, I don't use anything as we have a few Green Woodpeckers

Got a feeling in a few weeks they will swarm, on a hot day:biggrin:, after that the activity seems to die down.
Its probably down to dry weather and the time of the year, which makes the nests more noticeable.

The ant stop traps work the best I found or like Woo use boiling water (and bleach) but that's only on red ants or flying ants nests.. yes I'm nasty Pete

Saying that I haven't had any nests this year :fingers crossed:

Ants is ants, they were here before us, and they will survive after us.
Boiling water is great for killing the grass in the lawn, add some bleach and you can wipe out the whole area.:snork:

Update , I had placed Ant Bait Traps in 3 places on the lawn , with a piece of slate over them to keep them dry and in place . Just moved one when mowing this morning , and lo and behold a large ant nest is around the bait trap ! They were using it as a McDonald's :snork:
