    Good morning WW'ers :spinning:

@shiney - :doh:I know now where I have heard of you before: "Clan of the Cave Bear"! :heehee:

@moyra - how refreshing to hear someone state they enjoyed school; I enjoyed it too  Sorry to hear that your home life didn't leave you with equally fond memories :grphg:

@wiseowl - those school rubbers never flew anywhere near me but I think one of my brothers caught one on the back of his head once; good job he wasn't facing the front! :phew:  ;) :heehee:

Slower start to the day today, think I overdid it yesterday because I've got lower back ache today (thankfully not sciatica though :phew: ) that means the roast lamb with Bridgewater beans is now off the menu and the men folk can sort themselves out. Also means I won't be gardening today (which is mainly bindweed hunting anyway :th scifD36:).

@Michael Hewett - great news that you found the sunshine :yay:

@CanadianLori - is it Sunday Coronation StreetFest today?

@liliana - hoping you are on the up :grphg:

Healing vibes and miles of smiles xxHobblyxx

      Good day everyone

@"M" no episodes today. The marathon last week was two weeks crunched into one and then we have nothing for two weeks and then another marathon after - the Olympics are meddling with my show... :paladin:

It is down to 68f this morning and we are grabbing the opportunity to open the windows for a brief spell to let in some fresh air before the heat starts up again. It feels so nice and not so claustrophobic to be open to the world again. :phew:

Got dough rising in 4 of the bread makers and soon will be punching their lights out and contorting them to the shapes I wish-- too bad I didn't have these machines when I would suffer once in awhile from pms :heehee:

Have a safe day everyone :)

        Evening later people :)

Had a lovely day out, first went round to see @Apple Blossom who made me very welcome and gave me tea and cake :):):)

Then met up with Willow at the fairy festival in the New Forest for her 20th birthday :phew:

Have a good evening everybody :)

            Good morning WW'ers :spinning:

@Zigs glad you enjoyed a lovely day out and (belated) happy birthday to Willow [IMG]

My mother would make bread whenever she was feeling "less than tranquil" ... when my brothers and I cottoned on to that, it was worth shaking her equilibrium because we knew we'd get the best bread buns ever for our tea :delish:

Meeting up with the 9.30 club later this morning so Oz gets to play and run around with a couple of his buddies. I'll be taking him for his main walk before that though. Then it's off shopping to try and find something suitable for my youngest sons birthday later this week ... he'll be 21!! :thud:

Miles of smiles and healing vibes xxMxx

                Aloha everyone,

We're back in the world of electricity :blue thumb:

@wiseowl that was done by one of my relations. He was a famous artist called Smallhead Shiney :heehee:

It's a bit cooler out there this morning but beautifully sunny. It's 51.1F and I'll wait until it reaches 57F before I carry on weeding and digging. Runner beans are into their full growing mode but have been affected by the hot sun. The plants that are exposed to the full blast of the sun are producing beans that are lumpy with bean and not so much flesh. All the others, fortunately the majority, are sheltered either by the other plants (as they're on the inside of the ShineyFrame) or by the shadow cast by the growth on the overhead framework. :dbgrtmb:

I've picked 42lb in the last two days and they'll be sold at the club tomorrow together with what I pick today and, possibly, tomorrow.

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                      Good day all
Sounds like everyone has already gotten a good start to their day while I was still snoozing. :)

Like @moyra I have laundry on the go and will be loading the lines shortly. It cooled enough in the night that the attic fan finally turned off. It starts up as soon as the air in the attic hits 90f and it has been running steadily for the last week. Even the vents on the greenhouses were shut this morning - also a first in a few weeks :)

Got some wage earning work to complete today and I am hoping to be done by noon and outside playing in the afternoon.

Have a safe day everyone!:blue thumb:

                        Hello :yay:,

I hope you are all well?

My few days off work went really well, I've managed to get so much done, the house & garden are looking so much better , kevs shed & Workshop have also had a good clear out, we managed to fill a skip, :phew: we couldn't quite get all the junk in so maybe at the weekend I will take the remainder to the tip!

I think I told you earlier in the year we had some fence posts damaged in the wind, Kev has now replaced all the posts along the back fence & made a start on the front fence, the make do wooden wedges have all been removed :dbgrtmb:, (that in itself looks so much better!)

Yesterday I cleaned the patio & washed the fence & gate down the side of the house, I hope to stain those at the weekend, whilst I have the sprayer out I will give the back fence & new posts a good spray too.

Hilda the hen has been poorly, she's been to the vets & is on antibiotics, I'm pleased to say she's looking a lot better & is eating again :phew:she needs to go back for a check up later in the week :fingers crossed:

My public liability insurance for work was due last week, I've been in discussions for weeks with my insurance company for a new quote to cut a long story short they quoted us £1299, almost double what we paid last year, I was not happy about that so I spent a bit of time ringing round, I now have better cover for £587! It just goes to show it pays to ring for quotes!

Oh my goodness I've just seen how long my post is....best I give my fingers a rest!

                        Enjoy your day everyone :grphg:

Good to see you @Beckie76 you certainly have been a busy bee! Well done on your new quote (what will you spend the saving on? :snorky: )
:chicken: Poor Hilda :chicken: Hope the antibiotics do the trick and she's soon back to singing her egg song and scratching for wormies :chicken: They do hide illness very well, so you are extremely lucky to have got her to the vets for treatment :grphg:

@"M" I knew for a couple of days that Hilda wasn't quite herself, I only took her to the vets for a second opinion! the vet seems to think it could have been a liver infection or a heart problem (more likely to be a liver or kidney infection I think!)
The money saved will be spent in an extremely boring way...we are having to update our health & safety policy :snooze:, oh the joys! :heehee:.
