      Eucomis "Sparkling Burgundy"..................

      It's a little wonky...............

The reason for that is that it caught me by surprise. This is the first of my leaf cuttings to bloom. As I wasn't expecting it to bloom it was in my little nursery area at the workshop and as such it wasn't noticed until I went to place it upright after the wind had blown it over

Anyone still growing Brugs, things seem a bit quiet on the brug front this year.

Grand Marnier is budding up but B.sanguinea has barely grown at all (mostly down to my neglect I'm afraid to say).

I bought a small plant of B. sanguinea back in April, thought I'd have another go, I do think the flowers are the best.
Well its still a small plant, its green, but hasn't grown more than a couple of leaves all summer.

How long have you had it strongy?
I find they take a few years to get established.
And it really is a big plant.

The pink brugs have put on growth but they're not flowering as well as last year.
Pot-confined Campsis Stromboli has scale insect but is regularly throwing out a few flowers.
The Passiflora edulis seedling I was given this Spring has flowered like mad and now has purple fruit! Can't stand passion fruit:roflol: A Lidl €1.99 Tibouchina is just about to flower..will try to get a photo sometime this week:)

                  Not really!

Forgive my ignorance but what is sub equalling?

I've grown those double flowered daturas in the past, usually have some kind of blackcurrant name for some reason.
The flowers are interesting, not particularly forth coming and not long lasting.
Not my kind of plant really, over hyped.

joolz - very interesting - I can't see any reference to it online, so I will have to look more closely at my leaves.
