( PS I think that grumpy old women are the only ones with some decency left... as for the rest is just a race for greediness and being as naked as possible )

I couldn't agree more! One thing I can't bare in a person is greed, there seems to be so much emphasis on how much people have, who's got the biggest & newest, fastest etc, I can't be bothered with people like that! Everyone has a different income, situation & needs, if everyone lived within their means, stopped competing with each other & realised just how fortunate they were the whole world would be a much happier place!
I'm not even going to get started on the need to look like a stick insect!
(Grumpy old woman has now finished her rant!! :heehee:)

Maddie is a very well tempered tall dog, displays no aggression to other dogs, except, small dogs have a tendency to jump up to reach her head, putting their front feet on her, to keep balance, she allows this in dogs she meets on a regular basis, but she will snap a warning to strangers who do that.
My friend has several health problems and has a very large strong Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Ruby loves people hates other dogs, but they have been together on walks and been okay once they got to know each other, last year we met on our early walk, dogs standing quietly, Ruby came to me for a stroke and pat, Maddie stepped toward Ellen and Ruby went for her, we dismissed this as a minor occurence, few days later same thing happened again, this time there was blood, Rubys, within about 2 weeks Ellen was diagnosed with cancer, treatable, but we then reasoned that Ruby was aware Ellen wasn`t well and was "protecting" her.

I have a sort of similar anecdote.

We used to look after my dad's dog whenever he was away. The dog in question was so well behaved and sociable. One day in fact while out for a walk, another dog randomly went for her. She was so mild mannered she simply retaliated with nothing more than a show of teeth while posturing to indicate no fight is wanted here. She was simply impossible to provoke. Or so it seemed.

Then one day, we were stood chatting outside my dad's allotment. There was me, my dad, my missus and the dog. One of my dad's friends came along with his dog. His dog looked well behaved too and was well known to my dad and his dog. All peaceful and friendly in theory.

Except on sight of the other dog coming towards my missus, just walking by its owners side, my dad's normally mild mannered dog properly raged. Proper scary. Teeth out, eyes wide and full of fire, snarling and snorting and growling. She flew at the other dog and between me and my dad we just managed to grab her and restrain her just in time.

We were all shocked. She'd never behaved anything like that before. And she knew the other dog. My dad was worried enough to not let her off the lead when out and about. But over the following few weeks there were no further incidents. Except when my missus was around. It was clear the dog was suddenly overprotective of my wife. We had no idea why. Then shortly after that, we discovered that wife was pregnant.
