I put a roll around my second sowing of Runners, it appeared to stop the Slugs/Snails, but not the Black Fly:mad:

I've tried nematodes purchased 5 boxes if the stuff didn't kill mine off. Eggs shells and copper tape around everything even ate my hydrangea to the ground that's reviving itself. Don't use pellets because of my dogs although you can get pet safe ones tried beer pots and I've watched the drunken sods climb in drink and manage to get back out...

I've launched them into orbit before but apparently the are like homing pigeons and find there way back.

When I find slugs and snails on my allotment plots I have been gathering them up and chucking them over the fence so that Grace the very large pig that a couple of allotmenteers is growing on for breeding so it clears them out of the way and saves me having to use slug pellets.:snork:

We have a resident hedgehog that visits the garden every night and isn't interested one bit in my slugs,it would rather eat the dog food and dried cat food I put out instead:snorky:

Kimberley,I used to chuck them over the fence at home as it was a piece of waste ground next to us but as there is now a house next door thought better of it:snorky:

Build a pond and get some ducks. Slugs are their favourite food. :blue thumb:

With three dogs that would be fun, there would be no water in the pond they'd drink it and the duck would have a hells life I have spaniels.

Ducks, as a group, can be very aggressive to dogs :hate-shocked:

I have to say that having had the Frogs residing in the pond I rarely see any Slugs and the Blackbirds and Thrushes:thumbsup::snork: keep down the snails.
