    I forgot it's a Bank Holiday :rolleyespink:

    It's another sunny day but we got 45 minutes of rain yesterday evening. That's the first proper wetting the garden has had in over six weeks. Moving the sprinkler around the garden just doesn't do the job as well as rain.

    Mrs Shiney wants to go to the Countess of Warwick Show today but I don't. So she's going to try and go with a friend - otherwise I suppose I shall be going.

    I'm going to carry on with a bit more digging and weeding but really need to work hard on paperwork. I'm so behind

              Sunny but cooler, so far, today. :blue thumb:

              Mrs Shiney went with a friend to the Show and enjoyed it. :dbgrtmb: I did a bit more digging and then mowed all the front lawns and the main lawn at the back. The first time in over six weeks. I was too hot and knack erred to do any paper work.

              This morning I've got to weigh and bag 35lb of beans. They seem to quickly be coming to an end. If I have a chance I shall pick rhubarb as well.

                  Good day!

                  I hope you are all well, I've got behind again :doh:but I have been thinking about you all.

                  We've made great progress here, the log store is just about sorted out & we only have two more fence posts to change :thumbsup:. Yesterday I learnt how to use the Kango (concrete breaker). I shall soon have muscles like the Incredible Hulk! :heehee:

                  Kev went to the tip on Saturday & now we have more stuff to take :phew:. I cannot believe just how much rubbish we have thrown away in the past few weeks, admittedly it's mainly old fence posts & garden rubbish now but even so it's still a lot.

                  Last night we caught up with our good friends & our godson which was nice.

                  I'd better get a move on, I have to go to work today :sad:, I'd rather have a day in the garden! :biggrin:

                            JUST SAW I DIDN'T HIT THE POST BUTTON SO THIS IS YESTERDAY AND THEN... :doh:
                            Good evening everyone
                            I've been rather busy the last few days. Needed to take care of some errands for my friend in the home. Get presents for a granddaughter's 13th birthday, work, and test a new gadget for one of our stores here (Canadian Tire). It is really really cool. An animal deterrent. Doesn't harm anything but sure surprises animals big and small - oh and son got the pleasure of testing it because I forgot to turn it off when they went in the back yard :heehee:

                            Booked my flight to New Orleans. Going in October. OH will man the fort while I am away. I do plan to visit the garden district and see all of the flowers I'll never stress about trying to grow :)

                            and now here I am on Wednesday morning...Going to continue trying to sew these new cold frame covers. It has been quite warm the last few days but the weather guessers are predicting a quick spin into fall.

                              Sorry l have'nt been around much.
                              Unfortunately I lost my husband Peter on Sunday afternoon, following a short and unexpected illness.
                              Suffice to say l have been running around trying get things sorted. I now have to go to Reading hospital to get documents to take to registrars
                              At least then l can sort out the funeral.

                              lronically l got myself a new dog last Friday, her name is Luna, and she has been great company.
