    Welcome to the forum!

We are all things green, magnificent colours and a large dose of common sense advice..

Well, I'm pretty much a novice too so all I can offer is goodwill and the fun love of gardening by impulse :)

When you get things sorted, try adding information to your profile. If you ask a question after that, the group will try to respond with suggestions appropriate to your growing zone.

Have a peak at my profile and others. Then have fun with yours!

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I have a couple of plants that I do not know what they are, the shop I brought them from he didn't no what they are :dunno:. How can you sell flowers/plants and not know..
:snorky: Im not great with names myself, but I do find I'm very good at bringing plants back from the brink. ( actually I'm cheap and like a bargain and challenge so I buy mostly dying plants )

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg this one the flowers close at night around 6.30 with out fail, and open in the morning around 6.30-7am. the leaves are furry and they constantly flower from around March/April to September/ October.View attachment 72388

These two thier leaves get really big and I get one set of flowers from each leaf stem yellow flowers from the green leaf and a red flower from the darker leaf.
And it has one massive bulb.

Hello and welcome to the forum!:sign0016:

The pink flowered one is a cistus... I thought it was from the picture, but then your description of the less-than-one-day flowers clinched it! My hubby doesn't see the point of cistus, as all he ever sees is the mess of the fallen petals. I tell him he should get home from work earlier!

The giant-leaved plants - outside my expertise, but I'm guessing at canna?

The experts will be along shortly!! :blue thumb:
