There are loads of blackberries nobody bothers to pick around here, let alone fighting over them.

I know people that won't pick them from the sides of roads in case they have traffic fumes on them

 

We hardly got any police, they were lucky that a police officer came out

 

Apparently they beat each other black and blueberry.

 

That's why the biddies are scrapping over them.

I read in the news article that the coppers chose to lecture them and remind them that at their age they should be setting an example. What example should they be setting at their age? And presumably the coppers were young enough to be their grand kids, so who are they to talk to these ladies about examples? What can they possibly know about life, the universe and everything that two very elderly ladies don't know?
