      I read that they don't respond well to heat which can cause them to shrink/curl, citing an example of leaving them on a car dashboard on a hot day!

      Who would be silly enough to do that? (and where do they park their car? :th scifD36:)

            Surely they knock this stuff out by the million pretty quick?


            If that is the case and they are so sure moving away from paper is the way to go, why will it take so long before bringing in plastic 10ers and 20s.

            I've seen Canadian plastic and Aussie plastic, dont really like it.

            Cant really call it STERLING anymore though, sterling plastic just dont seem to be right.

            Personally I'd have preferred a £5 coin.

                We have had Clydesdale bank polymer £5 up here for a year, they are good but if you have a few you have to be sure they do not stick together when handing cash out, maybe it is static that does it ?
