Good morning all. Oh 'M' just what you could do without. I hope your coffee money goes well though.

Kitchen finished and the lounge cleared back to some semblance of order.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.:wub2:

Can you set up tables by the roadworks and have an outside party? You can then organise games in the street. :blue thumb:

Takes me back to the Coronation street party. :old:

        Morning all :)

Couple of days off to catch up with things:phew:

Ordered Loli a rose for her birthday, thought it would only be a small thing. Turned out to be about 3 foot tall :yikes: She sent me a pic of it :thud: jaques cartier.png

        Apparently it smells

Off down the estuary to look for Samphire now, have a good day everyone :)

You mean that I've got a twisted mind? :heehee: I'll collect that hug next time I see you :)

It was a fascinating funeral. It was for the son of a first cousin (so a second cousin :blue thumb:) who died very suddenly aged 57. He was a very unusual character, very flamboyant and 'over the top' in most things he did. He was always joking and they told us about some of his jokes at the funeral. He had a vast array of friends, three ex-wives, many long term girlfriends and a partner of nine years. All of them were at the funeral and they all get on together.

In his will he asked for a Humanist funeral, to be cremated (not all that normal for Humanists), to be held in a religious cemetery and his coffin had a Buddha on it. It certainly had a lot of us puzzled. There were over 400 people there, the pallbearers were his friends and all of them were dressed in some of his outlandish jackets. He designed them in an earlier profession and the ones they wore were highly coloured with different patterns. One was bright red with black bats, the flying type, all over it. Another was made up of the print of the U.S. dollar all over it and a couple of others were sky blue with flowers. Another one was very colourful with musical symbols on it.

It was explained that the Buddha on top of the coffin was because he sold them and thought he would do a bit of advertising. :snork:

There was no service, as we know it, but just eulogies from lots of family and friends. A very nice funeral.

Oh my Lordy Lordy! What a flipping week! :thud: I'm pleased it's Friday & it's almost over! This week has been one of those stupid weeks we all get sometimes when things just don't pan out as they are ment too...I'm still smiling & managing to laugh although some days that's been very difficult! :doh:Anyway enough moaning, the sun is shining & it's warm here, I'm still working in a t-shirt :dbgrtmb:, I have pulled my work sweaters to the front of the cupboard but I'm only wearing them first thing in the morning & on my way home in the evening....I can't moan about that after all it's almost October!

The hens have stripped the beetroot leaves in the veggie patch  & have also stolen some tomatoes from the greenhouse:nonofinger:, I asked them who stole them & they replied 'BOK-BOK-bok!..note to self I must learn chicken language! :heehee:

I hope you are all well & enjoying the sunshine.

                    Look after yourselves :grphg:
