Morning folks. Looks like its going to be a damp day, bad for humans but great for my mutant lawn moss. I swear if I look closely at it its growing before my eyes.
My new scarifier will tear it to bits ,so look out mosss the end is nigh..

            Aloha everyone,

We had a very enjoyable bridge match last night :blue thumb: We didn't win  but only just missed a draw with the score ending up 11-9. Every point counts in the league table so not too bad.

I have a lot of organising to do today - as well as going to the bridge club. :)

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

Extremely difficult :noidea:. I'm allowed to bend but must do it slowly. The trouble is I keep forgetting . When you drop something on the floor you, naturally, bend down to pick it up! I just need to do it slowly and try to keep my head upright. I mustn't get paranoid about it but just be careful. :)

                  Hello!

I've just quickly read through the posts to try to catch up, life is far too busy at the moment, we've had a lot going on at work, not that I'm complaining I'd rather be busy than not.

I have bought the hens a new coop....needless to say they won't go in it, they are very happy in their old coop! I need to spend sometime at home & get them used to it.

Kev is well, his new employee is coming along well.

@shiney please be careful & look after your eye.

Love to you all & I willcatch up again ASAP.

                    Good evening fellow WW'ers

Had a wonderful woodland walk this morning with Oz, some friends and their dog. The weather was gorgeous!

#1 son returns this evening, so no doubt will have lots of stories to regale us with :heehee:

Had a Skype session with #2 son yesterday and it seems one of his house mates is planning on having a birthday bash in a couple of weeks and has invited ... wait for it! ...

... twenty (yes, 2.0. !) people to come over and STAY!!! :thud:
I asked him where these people were supposed to be staying and the plan is that they crash on the floor in the sitting room. None of them are happy about it and they seem to have forgotten that the sitting room is only one half of the room and the shared kitchen is the other half! They also appear to have forgotten that student landlords will use *any* excuse to not refund deposits. I've suggested that he mentions his "concerns" regarding 20 people sleeping on the floor in the communal lounge/kitchen to the landlord and let the landlord deal with it ;) Mind you, as #2 son says himself, how on earth does it make sense for 20 people to travel to Swansea from Oxford (the train tickets will cost a bomb!) plus inconvenience the other housemates, to celebrate 1 persons birthday: far more sensible for the 1 person to buy a return to Oxford and celebrate *there* Ho hum, hopefully the landlord will deal with it and it will be a non-event!

Anyway, enough waffling on: smiles and vibes to all xxMxx

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Mild and misty here, looks like being a fine day. :) It's my day off too, so I'm planning to take Mrs Trunky out to lunch and maybe go for a walk afterwards, the autumn colours are beginning to show now so think I'll take the camera.

                        Have a good day everyone.

                            Aloha everyone,

@"M" I hope the boys get themselves sorted out satisfactorily. :blue thumb:

@moyra the weather is going to brighten up nicely. :)

A mild morning here as well. Which is a good thing as we noticed that our propagator's heater isn't working. I built it in 1976 so it should still be OK - or I'll want my money back :heehee:

There are a number of things that can be wrong - apart from the unit itself having failed. So I have an electrician friend coming in tomorrow to check it over. All I could check is that the fuse in the fuse box indoors hasn't tripped (which it hasn't).

As I can't get under the bench to check things on the power board I shall leave it to him. I think Mrs Shiney has removed the cobwebs etc. I'm not sure that the board complies with present day regulations  When I installed it (is it really 40 years? :snork:) it complied :noidea:. There are four sockets with two that used to be used for the greenhouse (propagator and extractor fan) and the other two available for outside work. That was in the days when I could get under the bench easily - so not the best forward planning :old:

                            P1300563.JPG

I need to get the thing working again for some of our more delicate plants and for the chillies. It keeps the chillies fruiting through to the new year.

Today is a busy bridge day for me. I'm off to a County 'Seniors' event about 10 a.m. and should be home late afternoon/early evening in time to have a bite to eat before opening the bridge club this evening. Got to keep the little grey cells working :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

                            Aloha!
