Hi. Just dug up the last of my potatoes. Not masses but enough to keep hubby and I fed for the next few weeks.

What is the simplest way to store them please?

Well I usually store mine in cardboard boxes after drying them off.
The boxes are kept in a dark shed.
I'd only worry about frost if we had an exceptionally cold winter.

So could I leave them in these blue trays and pop them in the garage (off the floor)?

I would cover them with a sheet of newspaper to exclude the light.

I dug a hole and put them in that with a dustbin lid over the top and a layer of earth to protect against frost.

Go to the local chip shop and ask for some old potatoes sacks. That's what I use to keep mine, still eating what I harvested in September kept in a cold garage

Chip shops are glad to get rid of them as well
