    Have you carved your pumpkins?
Have you made a pot of pumpkin soup?
Are you celebrating in any way, shape or form?
Do you keep a supply of treats on the off chance you will get visitors? Bought or home made?

I've carved my first pumpkin (looks naff, but who cares :heehee: ) but the flesh and seeds were given to my girls as a treat :chicken: :chicken: :chicken: so no pumpkin soup. Unfortunately, I do not grow my own - too little space - but I'm happy enough with the two I bought.

We're all going out tomorrow to a local event and have our costumes ready to join in the fun of the night.

I have bought some treats to put by, but, if the past two years are anything to go by they will be put back in the fridge for Mr "M" and #1 son to pick at

I get that is it just another commercialised event blown up out of all proportion, but this year ... well, I'm rather excited about it

Don't make pumpkin soup, it just wouldn't get eaten. Got my stash of sweets ready too.. I buy big bags/tins, take all the ones me and the kids like and the cr@p given to trick or treaters.. no-ones knocked so far though.

Hi @Linz long while no see!

Your home looks totally FAB!!! Love your puking pumpkin :roflol:

I'm going to go for a more .... subtle? ... look for my front and I won't be decorating until tomorrow.

I've had an "Autumnal" wreath up at the door for the past few weeks so it's basically just adding a spookier element to the rest of the front steps really.

Speaking of which, finally found a shop which will deliver to us today. Once the shopping had gone through I took the opportunity to mention that if the driver was to look up our home via Google maps, he won't find it. So, she asked if I could give some details to make it easier for him to find. Fine. I mentioned a couple of things and then said: "Oh and I have a wreath on the door"
Girl: "Did you say a wreath?"
Me: "Yes, an Autumnal wreath" :)
Girl: "Oh, okay, I'll put that down on the receipt to help the driver find it".
I watched as she scrawled on the receipt: R.E.E.F.

Nice pumpkins there @Linz ! Especially like yours, very artistic!

Although celebrating Halloween is becoming more and more popular here, as Trick or Treat, its still quite a small event. The big one will be on November 10th. Its the feast of St. Martin, really only local to this province. Its celebrated by eating goose, usually accompanied with plums, and of course something alcoholic. Its also seen as the first of two warm ups before Christmas celebrations proper.

I will now put a pointy hat on my head and stand in the corner for using the C-word! :snorky:
