Apart from carving and eating, pumpkins can be used in other ways. :)

Everything in the 'flower pot' :heehee:, apart from the Gerbera and carnations, comes from our garden. :dbgrtmb:

Mrs Shiney made a few of these as presents for people. :blue thumb:

Just used a small kitchen knife, took me 30 mins. This year I vowed not to spend too much time as I wasted spent 2 hours last year carving mine with a craft tool.

:love30: Totally impressed folks with your efforts. Nobody in the family likes eating Pumpkin so I bought a huge Swede instead to make my offering to Halloween. The damn thing was harder than the hammers of hell. I bust my best vegetable preping knife and lobbed a chunk off the end of my finger......Halloween is now cancelled at Chez Nous:wallbanging::)

@silu , I was just going to mention turnip lanterns , that we used pre-pumpkin days . It was like working with granite hollowing them out ! :wallbanging:
Just bought out halloween decorations a little inflatable ghost going "boo!" and two bags of Harribo sweets only cost £3.50 for the lot. If they don't like Harribo they can have a can of Carlsberg Special Brew
