So Donald Trump has now said that if he becomes President ( God help us all ) that he will withdraw the USA from the Paris agreement on climate change. Consequently he's started another row with China.
Yet another potentially frightening situation brewing up.

That's true, Anthony, but that's because we have the "first past the post! system. UKIP actually got 3,881, 99 votes in 2015 and if we were using the proportional system they would have been given 83 seats:dunno::snorky:.

So by breaking peoples voting habits a minority "bunch of nutters" campaigning on a near single issue would be a fairly major player under a different system. Proof that an intelligently cast protest vote is not a wasted vote maybe?

Also proof that proportional systems do not work.

I'm very well aware of that fact, thank you Anthony.
It would be political suicide. However, this is about the *detail* of the Brexit, which is where the power struggle is going to lie. Unfortunately, when people made their vote, there wasn't a box for Brexiters to tick for which terms they wanted to leave under. Thus it is up to the politicians to decide how to interpret the best terms as they see fit (which, with their current detachment from the majority Brexit voters - indeed, the major of "voters!" - doesn't bode well).
Which is most concerning. Delays could prove very costly for the economy.

I have to agree, Anthony, in the context that proportional representation could/would inevitably mean that a Constituency that voted in a MP of a particular party would get a MP of a different party to "solve" the number of MP's that actually didn't get "past the post" but won a seat anyway.:dunno::doh::snorky:

Dont even know who my MP is.
And i'm willing to bet a fair few out their are in the same boat.
So personally i dont give a toss who he or she is, they dont ever lower themselves to come round my area even during voting.

just got to this. and have not read all. busy with facebook with all the stuff.
But, as it goes the issues is her emails, and that she used a server for confidential stuff and it was hacked by foreign governments. So, me, I say, well that is really stupid, a person with 30 years experience should know better. AHHH--then the light goes off, she used the server with the intentions of getting hacked so the governments would give her money for confidential stuff. Now, they are almost confirmed 100% in this area and following the money trail. So if she is elected, then at some point, she will be charged for treason, then her duffus VP will be it. no one wants that. Also how could killary even have any credibility with other nations, as she sold herself out, and has many strings attached. So, then there is Trump, yep he says crude things, but he at least has no puppet strings. And his VP is a great guy. But your right, out of all of USA, this is our choice. Its tough folks. Oh, yes, and some psychiatrist says Killary has borderline personality.

Hi Redstar, we can only view the USA elections from the side, but I think most of the UK believe both choices are not good for the "Good Ole USA." Surely, out of the hundreds of millions of Americans your political system can come up with a better choice?:doh:
To be honest, I think the e-mail scandal is merely froth as there's probably been more secrets lost by both Republicans and Democrat officials than any alleged by Hillary, and probably more illegal acts kept secret by them!!
The political parties seem to fasten onto anything, and I do mean anything, they can dig up about their rival candidates, magnify it beyond all proportions, scream "Dishonesty", "Treason", "Drugs", and worse, etc, and the rest of the World looks on and wonders how one of the most powerful countries on this Globe can act with such spite, maliciousness, distorting facts and making allegations about their candidates that seem to be completely of Schoolyard mentality and an equal IQ. So I think the World is looking on in amazement, with fear, amusement and perhaps a little disgust at the antics of the Presidential elections.
When it comes to Trump he reminds me of Mussolini with his hand gestures, his facial expressions, his general behaviour...and in my humble opinion is probably just as trustworthy. I truly have the greatest respect for the USA and I have several friends in Ohio, Nevada, Maine, Utah and Idaho but I have to say that the present behaviour of both main parties do nothing but harm to the USA.:dunno::coffee:

I don't understand why people are still worrying about global warming etcetc.

Is already too late ,its game over already. The north Pacific ocean is already dead. The rest of it will be dead soon leading to mass starvation in the far east as many millions of people rely on the fish caught there.

The radiation from Japan will continue to spread right around the world killing off the worlds oceans.

Those on land will be killed off too , slowly ,but still killed off. The radiation is already across large parts of the US due to rainfall and sea fogs. The rainwater comes from the poisoned pacific ocean. Theres no fix to this sadly. So theres no real need to worry about Trump pulling outbofvsome meaningless environmental agreement when in reality the environment and everyone and everything in it is destined to be killed off due to the Fukushima radiation that's pouring thousands of gallons of radioactive poison into the sea daily.
