    Things can change. Our constituency has changed parties quite a few times (only Labour or Conservative). During the last ten elections they have won five each - very democratic :snork:.

      Unfortunately, that's not quite true and is a myth based on some truth.

      Mussolini only managed to get one train to run on time. He commandeered one train for himself. That only ran on time because he decided what its timetable was. All other trains followed the traditional way of never running on time! :heehee:

          No, I don't think so, Wee Tam, in every Political Party there is a Left, center, and Right division and those to the politely termed "Far Right" or "Far Left" are the extremists. It's those people who think that their Political views are unquestionably correct and everyone who has the temerity to disagree, however slightly, are unimportant.

          No, again I have to disagree with your definition, Wee Tam. You can have extremists who are non violent but those you describe are Terrorists who commit acts of violence, yes, they hold extremist views but they are Terrorists. There are people out there who don't believe Man has landed on the Moon or still believe the World is flat and those people cannot be persuaded otherwise and can be described as extremists. That there are those in the Labour Party, Conservative Party and the SNP who would put their own Political views above that of the UK's that can't be denied. As I said the SNP haven't listened to the Scottish People and have disregarded their decision of the Referendum and want to have another and another to get the answer that the SNP wants and not the people.....now that is the has the symptoms of extremists.:dunno::snorky: You say that the political results should be respected and accepted but that is not what the SNP is doing....that is "the slippery slope to political violence". :dunno:

              Just to put things into perspective re Hilary getting more votes overall than Donald, looking closer to home.....2015 UK general election, total number of votes for UKIP 3,881,000 approx, number of seats in parliament 1. Total number of votes for SNP 1,454, 000 approx, number of seats in parliament 56 and that's considered fair?

                That's putting it too simplistic Silu.

                The SNP got the seats because they came first.

                UKIP got 1 seat because they came first once.

                So yes it is fair.

                  UKIP were voted for ( put up candidates ) all over the country.

                  The SNP only fielded candidates in Scotland,.

                  I find any comparison there ridiculous.

                  If you're going to make comparisons with the SNP then it has to be done only by comparing voting in Scottish constituencies not in the rest of the country.

                  So, could you please tell us all how many people voted for UkIP in Scotland, then we could see the comparison.

                    My point is that there are 50+ (a few are currently under investigation for irregularities!!!) SNP MPs in the Westminster Parliament with the ability currently to vote on matters purely pertaining to England. Yet UKIP only has 1 MP. If you consider this fair then that is your prerogative. I am fortunate to not have to resort to being rude when putting my views across.

                      How nice to read opposing political views and no one is clubbing each other over the head. While ya'll have different views and opinions, you are still polite to one another. I am impressed. Forums that I belong to in the USA forbid political discussions as it gets into a mess rather quickly.                               Just saw something on facebook (not that is is always correct) But it says Obama will pardon Hillary. So--thinking, You have to have done something big wrong for a Presidential Pardon. So then if that is true, he will then admit to the public, that she did something wrong.

                              BTW, all the celebs leaving to Canada. Their abandoned homes will go to homeless Vets.
