      Aside from Bill getting blown and fibbing about it (clearly not good) and Hills incompetence with emails there ain't too much been reported over here.

          As far as President Trump not paying taxes. The tax forms are completed by his many accountants due to his many holdings etc. As they are paid to know the tax laws/rules etc. if through the numbers it comes out that enough debt etc was had then it will go it minus for profit. Thus you pay no taxes. I for one do not care to see his taxes, I do not have the ability to read a billionaires tax returns. BTW, killary paid no taxes also. In general I am glad to have a smart person who knows the tax laws.

            He does know about tax loopholes - perhaps he'll close them up.

            I suppose in its basic form, running a country is very like running a business - generating income, balancing budgets etc - perhaps Trump might be the shot in the arm that the USA needs. As far as I'm aware, Hilary has none of these 'business' skills. The media made a big deal about Trumps lack of political experience - which could actually be a good thing in this case.

                I'm just a simple hobby mathematician but it seems to me that if someone has enough debts to balance out his income then he's making a loss or he's cheating!

                  He knows his lack of political experience, and that , why he has VP in that place and giving him more duties than others. And why he is surrounding himself with folks that fill the areas he is lacking. A person, can lack skills, but a good manager knows that and knows to ask questions of the right person.

                  Many years ago, when husband and I started our company, we had the government owing us money due to showing lots of debt to the point that our accountant said we could get food stamps.

                      Well, I wasn't talking about the taxes Trump would pay as President. I was pointing out that he hasn't paid Federal Taxes for over a decade by being declared Bankrupt 4 times, the last one for $619 Million dollars. So while you and most of your fellow Americans have paid what tax you have to, Mr President Elect has not done so.:dunno:

                      Not quite accurate, as HC and BC paid $3,624, 455 dollars in Federal Income Tax last year....that probably with a bit of legal tax avoidance.

                      Nobody, including us in the UK, like paying taxes and will moan about it but we, grudgingly, pay it. We also recognise the difference between Tax avoidance and Tax Evasion, the latter being illegal. We also recognise, again grudgingly, that we have to pay taxes to pay for services financed by the Government while moaning and criticising how they spend it. But it is being recognised now that Companies and individual's using the tax system to such an extent that they've evaded paying Millions while claiming they were merely legally avoiding taxes,contribute nothing to the country's ability to pay it's way. In the end that avoidance inevitably raises yours and mine taxes

                      Which is like riding on a Bus/Train/Plane, paying for your fare and someone else getting on board you don't know not paying and the Bus/Train/Plane people putting it on your bill...........now, I agree, that is smart.:coffee::heehee:

                          The trouble @Baymule and @redstar is that here in the UK we are well versed in the dodgy behavior/dealings of Trump but as far as the Clintons go there isn't that much dirt on them hence my last question.
