Aloha everyone,

Heavy rain in Barcelona delayed flight home. Heavy rain at Heathrow delayed landing. Heavy rain on M25 delayed everyone and it took double the normal time.

Got to Shineyland and sun was shining.

This morning it's not too bad. The sun is shining, sort of, a bit breezy but 49F

I've been downloading our photos, all 2,200 of them , and will have to start going through them to delete all the rubbish ones. That will be over 50%

I've posted just a few under other threads. (What's Buzzing and Camera in my pocket) as I came across them.

Got a lot of catching up to do.

Aloha everyone,

It's very dull out there at the moment but no rain and no wind. So I'll get my first look at the garden in two weeks. Not that I'll be able to see much under the thick carpet of weeds.

We phoned Michael for him to come along today and do some tidying up. Even using his blower it will take a lot of the day! All we've got to do is hope he turns up as he doesn't always make it . I just don't understand the youngsters of today . He always has trouble getting out of bed and his parents have given up on encouraging him (he's 24 now). When he gets here he works well.

I'm back into having my regular treatments and check-ups. Today it's treatment for my back and knee and Friday it's the chiropodist. I think that they use a lot of glue to keep me together .

Yesterday I went to the bottom of the garden to start picking up the windfalls that had come down whilst we were away. I picked up about 50lb before the bending got too much for my back. Then I went off for my treatment for my knee, neck and shoulder - and my back .

Michael turned up at 10 o'clock and worked until it got dark at 4.30. All he did was clear leaves and filled five one ton bags Some went into the wheelie bins (bin collection in the morning), some went onto the compost heaps and some stayed in the bags. The compost heaps now have too many leaves on them so I'll have to get Michael to pop to the farm for about a ton of horse manure to mix with them.

The clinic that I go to for my back etc. is on a purpose built building on a local farm. The farm were selling lean mince for £7.99 for 2kg. That's the equivalent of £1.80 per lb, so quite good. Spag Bol tonight.

Aloha everyone,

I was passing the farm again, later, yesterday so decided to get more mince as it was excellent. When I popped into their office, they don't have a shop, the woman asked me whether I wanted 2kg or 1kg. The sign only said 2kg for £7.99 so I asked how much 1kg was. She told me £3.50 , so I got 1kg .

A man came out from the back and asked me if I had tried their fresh farm eggs and when I said that I hadn't he gave me half a dozen .
