Got the new cooker we needed reduced by £100 yesterday, that's Mrs Scrungee's Xmas present sorted :) and a micro sd card for my new phone with 33% off today. Total savings well over £500.

What's contrary, is that following all the dire predictions of rising prices after the fall in exchange rate of the pound, Marmite only went up in price by about 20p in some shops (and was actually reduced in others), and how stores can still afford to reduce their prices for all sorts of stuff by 20%, 30% or some even over 50%.

I had to pay 19p yesterday for 4 bouquets of flowers, reduced from £19.00 just before the store closed (99% off). Bit of a shame that the 25p Poinsettia I got for my MiL's Xmas present earlier at another store was only 90% off :frown: Also got eggs (all our hens are off the lay) with UBD of 17/12 mistakenly reduced, plus bags of baking spuds for 1p each with UBD's of 1/12 that had 50p off Flora coupons on them!

If you'd not bought one of these £19,000 98" TVs (reduced by £4,000) you could have saved so much more http://www.rlrdistribution.co.uk/viewproduct.asp?pid=17961 I've never paid more than £100 for a TV.

Well, in the Astronomy world there was only one Dealer that took part and they reduced the price of Televue eyepieces by £70, around a 20% cut. But, unfortunately, I'd already bought 4 top class eyepieces in the last 30 days so I had to keep my Wallet hand chained to my side, so maybe next year if they repeat the offers.:dunno::heehee:

New phone delivered this morning, will fit new micro sd card (33% off) and set up tomorrow. Total savings over £600 (including Wickes savings, cashbacks and the likes of longer warranties by getting stuff from John Lewis).

Saved a further £125 by doing my own cooker and washing machine disconnections/installations and taking the old appliances to the tip.

Only saved a few quid on an overdue replacement William Morris tablecloth for our dining table, but they all add up and helped to pay for stuff like my bargain new £364 (reduced + 20% off + manufacturers cashback) Xmas present lens.

Working trying hard to recoup all this expenditure, bought £120's worth of shopping yesterday when reduced to 90% off at the end of day + other stuf free with vouchers so all for less than £10.
