Well, it's now the seventh consecutive time they've forecast rain and we didn't get it! Yesterday remained dull and overcast, with the occasional glimpse of sun, with just a slight rise in the breeze. The temperature hovered in the low 50's and I was able to get some work done in the garden.

Currently its 41F, dry and not much of a breeze and the weather map is showing no rain for the next week. So I had better shake the cobwebs off my umbrella. :)

Heavy showers of rain here until mid afternoon followed by the usual grey sky and a complete drop in the wind......until tomorrow of course. 3C/37F

It's been dull and grey all day but has stayed dry with a top temperature of 50f. The skies had a mixture of high thin light grey cloud with the darker grey heavier cloud trundling along at a lower level.
The one bright spot was a knock on the door by the Postman delivering my new Weather Station, which I had ordered yesterday and was on a free 5 day delivery, so it was a nice surprise that in fact that the Retailer had sent it on a 24 hour delivery.:hapydancsmil::hapfeet:So it's now in the garden doing it's stuff and the temperature now is 51f and the pressure reading 1012mbs with a wind speed of 1mph!!:snorky:

It was very dark at 12:05 this morning when there was a sound like a door being 'tried' and Dog started barking like crazy, so I put on all the security lighting and went checking everything was OK outside. Then discovered friends has been out after midnight delivering Xmas cards and had got one tangled up in our ancient letter box.

The breeze is picking up a bit and the temperature is 52F. Mild enough for me to cut Mrs Shiney's hair in the garden. :dbgrtmb:

Mr S and I took ourselves off out today and the weather was abysmal. With a strong to gale force wind blowing and almost non-stop rain I still managed to take a handful of pictures. 12C/54F dropped to 6C/43F by mid afternoon.

It actually got to 57f today with fairly high fast moving cloud although very little breeze at ground level. This evening there was a change in the weather with the winds picking up and squally showers of torrential rain. But now we're back to calm and dry weather with a temperature of 45f and a pressure reading of 1011mbs. A friend in New York told me that today they have 33f and snow in the back garden!!:hate-shocked::coffee::snorky:

Yesterday remained mild and overcast but we now have very clear skies and 47F. The forecast for the day is not much rise in temperature but sunshine all day.

What a ridiculous climate we live in. Almost hot yesterday, 14 o C and I had to take my jacket off while filling hay nets.......today"snow dig", enormous chunks of the stuff falling and lying:yikes:. How the hell it isn't melting once it hits the ground who knows as it's been so very mild for weeks. This is reminding me of 1963 when it snowed on Boxing Day after a very mild early winter. The snowman I built that day was still in the front garden on my mum's birthday (21st March) and that was in north London not up here where we live in a permanent ice age that many think we do:heehee:
