      Good afternoon fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Been a little busy the past couple of days. Decided that my office needed moving around (which, Mr "M" promised he would help me with ... earlier in the year! Did it happen? :nonofinger: ) so on Tuesday, I rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in :paladin: I'm still very short of storage space but I did have to move a wooden wardrobe, two desks and a large table plus numerous boxes which are the best I can do for "storage" right now  Took a lot more time than I'd anticipated - not to mention a lot of moving, disliking, moving some more, disliking less, moving the furniture a bit more until, finally, I was happier with the result. Oh my word, the mess!!!! Stuff everywhere  Had to leave it like that because it was drinky-poos with the neighbours that evening and I needed to get a wiggle on. So, yesterday was spent trying to bring order to the chaos :heehee: I like it better now and the layout makes it a more efficient use of space. It can stay like that for now but, in time, it needs to double as a guest room so when I've bought a decent sofa bed, I'll have it all to do again :snorky:

Today though, I've been ... wrapping! :thud: Just when I thought it was all over, I remembered I had birthday gifts still to wrap, plus, design and make a special card. All done now though :phew:

:grphg: Are you sure you haven't had a dose of 'flu? Sending double dose of healing vibes your way!

Oh bless her! Probably still running to and from the toilet after all those cups of tea she had yesterday ;) Hope she's able to post again soon x

Just remembered I've been so busy flitting between one thing and another that I've forgotten to eat today :roflol: Best be off and get that sorted!

      Smiles and vibes xxMxx

It's quite probably, but I'm feeling a bit better this evening. The coughing and sneezing (not so much sneezing now) has been giving me a really bad headache and I resisted taking anything for it until an hour ago.

I've started preparing a chicken and veggie stir fry by prepping all the veggies (carrots, courgette, mangetout, French beans, mushrooms) and am just taking a short sit down to recover from being a bit wobbly. I've just got the onions, garlic, ginger and chilli to prepare and slice the chicken. I've used the blanching water from the mangetout and French beans to make a light sauce (veggie stock granules and soy sauce). Once everything is prepped it will only take about 10 minutes to cook - which I'll do about 7.30.

        Right, back to work. :)

Thank you @Zigs for the heads up about updating my Java to enable me to start posting again.

            Good day everyone,
Well, it didn't start off so "good" for me but now all is well!

I hope everyone has had a safe day so far and that you get to your jammies tonight without incident.

                Aloha everyone,

Thanks Zigs but I don't have jabs. Apart from being needle averse I tend to get bad reactions to injections and vaccinations. So I fight the situation on my own (very ably assisted by Mrs Shiney) and know when it may be time to call in the doctor (only ever happened twice). I keep a check on my temperature and pamper myself :heehee:. Last night was the turning point when I managed to eject some aliens from my chest. I think they're all gone now.

I hope to go to bridge tonight - subject to permission from the boss.

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

Good morning everyone, Nobody noticed or where too polite to tell me I was a day ahead of myself. Thinking it was Friday! Oh well rather have two Fridays in my week, Thursday is a nothing day. Hope you are feeling better Shiney.

Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, it is very foggy out there and none to warm.

@Zigs Of the top of my head :snork: there's this song by Eartha Kitt. It was the title of her autobiography (still got it on my bookshelf after 60 years :rolleyespink:).

It also inspired David Bowie's song

That's also a bit embarrasing, that neither I or my mates, all Bowie fans, remembered the Bowie version when we were trying to think of one

                                Good day everyone
@Zigs I hope your sore throat is short lived. @shiney that looks like a fellow from the pub... :)

We had about 3 inches of snow last night but it is mild - just under freezing - so it was easy peasy to get all the garbage and recycle items out for pick up. The house always seems tidier when I've whistled through and pulled out all the trash.

All set now to thoroughly vacuum the house tomorrow. We have smart meters and it is ridiculously expensive to vacuum or cook or dry clothes during the day during the week. I hope none of you are forced into having one of these meters. I have managed to time shift my usage for the most part but I cannot imagine how difficult it is for young families.

And only a couple of days until the New Year. Then back to exercising to try to lessen my ring of Chritmas food blubber...:yay:

                                Stay safe please everyone :)
