Most excellent underused words

The English language has some excellent words, some of which far to brilliant for their obscurity. Some are fairly modern, only making it into dictionaries fairly recently, some very old and archaic.

What's your favourite underused words?

Here's a couple of mine. Extra brownie points for getting them into a sentence. Here goes:

Rotund. As in, I am not overweight, I am just rotund in my nature.

Ambivalent. Rather impossibly, I am ambivalent about eating sea bogies. I recognise their nutritional worth, but they are a bit gross.

Bodacious. Woos awesome picture is the result of a most bodacious venture.

 

I used the words "Flibberty Gibbett" in the GC office the other day and Armandii flounced me with his codpiece

 

My tailor said I was Corpulent whilst measuring me, I suppose it is more eloquent than Fat illegitimate child

 

Pixilated

I was quite agitated when I discovered that most gardeners are pixilated and that I had assimilated without learning Latin. A natural...

 

I was a bit confusticated by pixilated as I'm more used to being pixelated.

 

The problem with pluperfect is it had already happened

 

I'm noiselessly going to bed, I fear I've vouicriferously,quietly,soundlessly, peacefully, created a ripple in the water, I don't like ripples, unless they're raspberry
