People who "design" buildings like this should be shot.

There are loads of architectural howlers in London, as well as simply horrendous road designs.

There's an interesting story about the buildings I showed above. It's a posh complex of private apartments and when they were first completed (2012) they had a sales office in the complex (as well as being with agents). A little Chinese lady walked into the office accompanied by a man who was obviously a businessman (turned out he was her lawyer).

She asked how much they cost and the salesman said it depended on which apartment she wanted. She pointed to one of the three shorter blocks on the plans on his desk. So he asked her whether she wanted one of the penthouse suits (typical salesman trying to sell the most expensive first). Her answer was, apparently, a very curt "No!". She then added "I mean the whole block." The deal was completed the next day!

I got that info from someone who worked in the office, when I met her at a dinner party. That's why I took the photos.
