Story started at the end of November when really stiff frosts hit (several nights exceeding -4 in the garden).

Everything in my unheated greenhouse stone dead, all the peppers and tomatoes gone as expected - except one.

Most of the plant was gone but an 18 inch high sucker and another short one on one of the plants was alive and well.

A month and much more cold weather later the tips of some of the leaves are a little damaged but otherwise standing proud with a flowerbud!

    Is this normal?

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Paul :sign0016:

Blimey, they usually stop growing below 10c and the frost usually does for them :thud:

That is very unusual - you should nurture it in case it's a new frost resistant sport.

        I
I was wondering whether I ought to transplant it to a pot and put it in the conservatory where it will be safe from further weather.

Good move, certainly worth trying to get some seed from it:)
