Morning all. Sorry to hear some of you are feeling a bit poorly this morning, hope you all feel better soon.

So that's what he was doing in the car all night. :hate-shocked: No wonder the windows were all steamed up. :heehee:

The tree and decorations are all coming down today, Mrs Trunky likes to get them all out of the way and get back to normal as soon as possible, suits me.

The forecast is for a wet afternoon here today, so I think I'll sit down and do this year's seed order. :)

Have a good day and Happy New Year to all.

My driving instructor must have had, he never taught me the hill start manouver, so when I was asked to stop on a hill during my test, I had no idea that I was being tested on anything till I pulled away again and noticed him tick a box :phew:

        Good day everyone
Lovely party last night. @"M" I'm still feeling full after that lovely buffet. Good job. Sorry I had to waddle out the door before the washing up was done but... :dunno:

@Zigs I hope you start feeling better soon. I park on a hill with my back side facing downhill when driving a standard shift. I've only gotten up to number 3 on the shifty thingie so by parking that way, I just leave it in neutral and the car will back out on it's own :snorky:

Woke up in the middle of the night with an SRO moment and the idea stayed with me. I'm going to spend a little time taking my oven apart and reversing the door as my kitchen layout has changed a little since the unit was initially installed. Should be a fun project  Besides, I've already got curly hair so if I touch a little live wire, it won't make any difference :heehee:

Have a safe day everyone and Happy New Year!

I usually get my backside home as fast as possible once I've parked the car

That's the trouble with electricity, you can't see it, you can't taste it, you can't smell it, but it can bite and you can feel it.

While in the RAF, in Aden, and repairing some communications center machines I picked up a connector that was lying on the concrete floor and got a DC 240 volt shock, because the connector was broken and fell apart in my hand, that burnt the imprint of the connector into my hand down to the bone so that my hand was smoking.......I still have the scar imprint on my left hand to this day.:dunno:
It's best to leave electrical repairs, modifications, to those who are qualified. I'm still qualified as a Radar Fitter and Electrician even though I have not professionally practiced the trade for decades..........but I always get a Professional to check my work, as in wiring and powering up my Observatory, just to make sure.

                            Good day all,
I slept in because I moved to the spare room and because there was no one else to bother, I got to read a new kindle book very late into the night.

Just received a call from the home where my friend is and they are packing him off to the hospital so I need to go there and advocate for him.

and will be shopping for a new oven. :)

Have a safe day everyone :)

I went out for a short walk just before lunch. It was very sunny but the biting wind blowing across the fields was a it much so I only did about 1.5 miles. I did include having a good nose at the new place that has been built seven doors away. :snork:. It was up for sale at £450k but don't know what it went for. The new people had it pulled down and have built a 2,000+ sq ft chalet bungalow. They moved in just before Christmas. I'll have to get an invite to have a look round :snorky:
