You can't do a diagnosis over tinterweb. If you try, you will terrify yourself. By all means, we can all share what we've learned, but many things can cause many symptoms, and one thing can manifest in very different ways for different people. I have a friend who has reynards. Her hands actually go white sometimes. She feels no pain from it though. I also know someone with carpal tunnel syndrome who does get pain. Carpal tunnel syndrome is treatable. Then there's me. I developed a similar problem with one hand. I ignored it until one day my whole army sort of shut down. Turns out I'd slightly tore a tendon in my elbow, and the inflammation was pressing on a nerve that works the whole arm.

Ok Ok, I'll rephrase, kind of scary to find out you MIGHT have a syndrome over t'internet. I wont terrify myself, I have a friend who does it to herself and is slowly driving herself insane doing it, googles every lump bump and headache, bless her. Cousin had her hand operated on just before xmas due to carpal tunnel, it's not that I know. Sounds nasty, hope you've sorted it :)

Do you have cold feet or are your feet just more sensitive to the cold?
My feet get bloody freezing so at work the other day we got my infra red thermometer out and checked - they were every bit as warm as the rest of my body (within 0.1°c of the average with the warmest area being my man bits). So I went down Poundstretchers and spent £2.99 on some of their cheapo thermal socks and it has transformed my work day. All they are really doing for me is insulating my feet from the cold floor.

Having spent many years on cold freezing dog tracks my experience taught me thick sole shoes/trainers the further you can get from the ground the better.

I am fortunate enough never to have cold feet or hands . I even walkout onto the patio to get something in my bare feet in winter - to Mrs H's horror !
Now Mrs H bought a lovely pair of thick thermal socks before Christmas . These do keep her feet lovely and warm , but she can't get her boots on . I presume for thermals to work your shoes must be big enough not to compress all the air from the sock. So a thermal layer is kept ?
When I played winter golf , I had thermal vest and long johns which kept me as warm as toast. These were Damart make who are one of the leaders in thermal clothing - up to Artic grade . May be worth a try :blue thumb:

B&M have been selling thermal socks @ 2 pairs for £5 that are identical to HeatHolders which cost twice as much. I bought Mrs Scrungee some lined neoprene wellies for Xmas and a load of those thermal socks for her birthday and she no longer gets cold feet on dog walks.

@Zigs should know all about that.

It's true. When I think about my past interactions with gingers, they were all very feisty.

I'll try these socks I have bought next week at work, in order to give them a far trial.

But I've had a pair on today at home and cant say I my feet feel any warmer.

Could you try warming your feet on a hot water bottle a few minutes before putting your socks on? Put the socks on the floor, put the hot water bottle on top of the socks, put your feet on top of the hot water bottle: leave for a few minutes and voila! warm feet *and* warm socks too :blue thumb:

Primark sell thermal socks which come with a tog rating of 2.5 :dbgrtmb: My son was absolutely spell bound by the fact socks could have a tog rating that now, each year for Christmas, he gets "Tog Socks" in his stocking :heehee:
