Antiques Roadshow All about The Holocaust

Tonight's programme tonight is all about the Holocaust and they are talking to some of the survivors of that time.....

 

I had a close friend who was in, https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/Ravensbruck.html#top, she committed suicide as she could no longer stand the pain from the experiments conducted on her there.

 

Thanks for that link @pamsdish and will look at it in more depth later as it looks quiet long and I need a quiet bit of time to read it all without having Mr Kandy jabbering in my ear

We were never taught about the wars when I was at the big school in the 60's and my dad only said a few things about it all so I like to take an educational interest in what went on on in both wars,and I just hope and pray we never have anything like it again,although what is happening abroad at the moment with terrorist groups trying to take over the world doesn't bare thinking about

 

Programmes about the Holocaust always concentrate on the Jewish population. People forget that 2,000,000 Romanies were exterminated too. In some areas not one Romany was left. :( The most persecuted race in the world.

 

My friend was Polish, her mother was a Jew, her parents were executed by firing squad, she and her siblings, she never saw again after being sent to diferent camps, were not.
