Now that I can see out, It's quite misty and the frost on the trees and plants look as though they are covered in snow. Very pretty - as long as I'm sitting in here in the warm :snork:

The weather is so incredibly unpredictable. I have been reading that many of you in the South of Engand are experiencing really cold weather while I'm up in what is meant to be a cold part of Britain (east coast of Scotland, admittedly not very far north) and we have hardly gone below freezing this winter apart from a week in November.
I have this feeling of impending doom as no doubt we'll get artic conditions in April!
We've had some fog but again it's usually disappeared by midday and I've been out and about without having 45 layers of clothing on!

Ours looked like that and then, suddenly, the frost started to melt for the first time in five days although the temperature didn't rise above 36F. The sun came out and chased off the mist and the flights from Heathrow/Gatwick were being diverted to Stansted (just up the road).

They've forecast fog this evening but I hope it doesn't get too thick as I shall be out until late.

As I came home from work it was the worst fog I've seen in a number of years.

there was a fairly thick fog, visibility of around 50 yards, no breeze, and a temperature of 33f. The fog had disappeared by around mid day and the temperature arose to 43f with some clearing skies and Sun. At the moment the temperature has dropped to 35f and the skies are getting cloudier and the pressure reading is `006hpa. More fog, if not denser, forecast for tomorrow!!:coffee::snorky:
