What fascinated me wasn't what he said (after all, it's been said before) but that his images on the screens behind him all had a time delay over each other. :noidea: :snork:

I reckon I could if I wanted to, being white and somewhere between Christian and atheist.

Google are world leaders in technical innovation. It's not just the search engine. They are really pushing the boundaries of what is achievable. For that, of course they want to recruit overseas talent. The truth is or seems to me to be that due to their blame culture they don't produce the best tech talent, so they need to import it.

Iran produces some of the best, most hardcore programmers in the world. They've been behind some epic cyber attacks against the US and elsewhere. Surely it is better to have such skill on side than to let a potential enemy have it.

I think you kind of hit the nail on the head there.;)

If you let them into your country it doesn't mean they are going to be on your side.
          And there lies the problem.

The recent diabolical attacks in France tend to bear that out.
Let in all and sundry, and you are going to get a fair proportion of wrong-uns.

Indeed. But what about existing Google staff. Some may have lived and worked in and for the US for years.

Yes. Did you read the article? People with all the necessary paperwork and permissions are being blocked.

I saw his point when I thought he meant unknown people. I didn't realise he was going exile people already there.

                  I read it.
                  Green card holders?
                  Are they nationalised US citizens?

It does say the status of green card holders is unclear.

That clause can be interpreted in many ways, [deliberately], pete, so basically being of the "wrong" religion or coming from a country of the "wrong" religion can, if you're of that political mind set, can be enough to strip you of the Green Card status. Do I hear echoes of the 1930's onwards.??:coffee:
