I wouldn't normally be quite happy to see rain which is now falling but it was very very cold here for 2 days and with the rain falling it has cleared away any ice and defrosted our LONG hose which feeds the water butt in the field. We've missed a pile of snow thank god as it is not a favourite of mine when dealing with a large animal it makes life quite diffuclt, so been lucky. Hopefully it stays mild otherwise white stuff will start to fall:yikes:.

We didn't have any snow after, yay. But we have had freezing fog in the mornings but it clears up and we get some sun and wind, feels bitterly cold out though. We had a down pour last night and its cleared up to be a lovely morning and no freezing fog and no harsh wind :)

Rain here today, the first we've had for a while. Mind you I say rain but it's that horrible drizzle that manages to soak through to the skin. :doh:3C/37F

The top temperature today was 43f accompanied by grey skies, a period of rain giving a rainfall total of 9.6mm, very little breeze. At the moment the skies have clear somewhat, although not completely, the temperature is 36f with a pressure reading of 992hpa.:coffee::snorky:

Yesterday it was mildish during the day and sunny for a few hours. Last night, on our way home, we had hail that had settled on the ground when we arrived back. When the hail stopped the skies were crystal clear and the stars looked fantastic.

                Rain forecast for today.

Its raining now, that is a kind of relief in a way as it means the temperature has rose a bit 8C today.
Only 6 at the moment but no frost forecast for the coming week I think.

After yesterday's rain I didn't expect to see a frost this morning but there again with the up and down temperatures it shouldn't have been a surprise. Plenty of sunshine saw off the frost mid afternoon even though the thermometer only rose by 1 degree to 2C/36F.

A day of cloud ridden skies changing the Sun trying to peer through thinning cloud, and then back again to total cloud cover with the odd period of light rain. So the temperature crept up, reluctantly, from a morning figure of 34f to an afternoon 41f with no breeze again. It hasn't changed much as it is now 40f with a pressure reading of 989hpa. The forecast for the coming week is unsettled with a large low pressure causing high winds and rain towards the end of the week.:dunno::coffee::snorky:

Yesterday it was a sunny morning with lovely blue skies and then it rained all afternoon.

This morning is overcast, no rain, no breeze.

A heavy frost this morning and around 9am the temperature read -5C/23F. The day brightened with a fair amount of sunshine but it didn't clear the frost, the temperature reached a high of -1C/30F.
