Classic! After the right wing sensationalist reporting let's now cut to the facts. Trump has just issued a blanket ban on individuals from seven countries, even if they had been working in the US. Now let's look at the facts of Obamas executive orders..................



As you can see there is not one blanket ban on all citizens from a certain country or number of countries. They are all perfectly routine exclusion orders as used by governments around the world in the course of modern diplomacy.

Again, Obama did identify the countries that needed to be banned prior to him leaving. Trump just continued.

 

So are you saying that Obama is still in charge? I thought there was a law in the US that prevented any one person from holding power for more than two consecutive terms? Is Trump answering to Obama?

We share a very long border and a nicely trimmed hedge would be about the only fence appropriate here because Canada does not have cheap labour stealing manufacturing jobs like the U.S.'s neighbour to their south.

We are discussing a situation. Some of us are trying to understand it. That's not the same as trying to change it.
